How You Can Lose Weight Now
This is a quick easy healthy recipe to prepare in less than 15 minutes. A simple mediterranean recipe full of fresh vegetables, cheese, fresh fruits, and the traditional glass of wine.Â
It might look complicated, but it is just a quick easy healthy recipe to help you keep your weight loss diet plan. I had this for lunch and it took me less than 15 minutes. I carefully chose the ingredients to give you a food that help you lose weight and boost your metabolism. Here is your quick and easy Pita Bread recipe. Â
A Mediterranean Pita Bread with Arugula and Cottage Cheese
It is a balanced meal, including protein, carbs, fiber. You can modify some of the ingredients.
-Â 1 Pita bread (preferably whole wheat pita bread)
-Â 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese (100 cal. 14 gr protein)
-Â Fresh arugula
-Â Fresh tomato
-Â Fresh red onion (you can use white onion too)
-Â Shredded cheese (garnish)
-Â Salt and pepper to taste
- a. If you like meatballs, you can prepare them a day in advance.
  b. I use meatless meatballs (18 grm protein)
       (1 minute to warm)
   c. You can also skip meatballs and just fill with your preferred
      vegetables.
- Divide a pita bread in two parts. Fill each with cottage cheese, tomato, onion, your choice of meatballs, meatless meatballs, or preferred lean meat, such as chicken or turkey. Salt and pepper to taste. You might add some extra virgin olive oil.
You can accompany with a red glass of wine, or your preferred drink (water, herbal tea, fresh juice)Â I prefer my red glass of wine.
SIDE DISH
I had two corns with parmiggiano Reggiano (parmesan cheese).
Although, I only ate one because I was full after eating the 2 pita breads.
DESSERT
I had pineapple garnished with a red cherry and fresh mint.Â
Pineapple helps to boost your metabolism because it is rich in vitamin C. It protects your body from free radical damange boosting your immune system.. Moreover, pineapple is naturally sweet and will help you curb your high caloric sugar cravings. 1 cup of diced pineapple has about 80 calories.**
*** Pineapple is a friendly weight loss food. It contains an enzyme called "bromelain," which help you digest both proteins and fats. The enzyme helps bread down the amino acid bonds in proteins, resulting in good digestion. It helps you get rid of a bloated stomach because it is anti inflamatory.
After your meal, you can have your choice of:
-Â Espresso
-Â Herbal tea
-Â Regular coffe
I hope you enjoy this healthy food recipe "Mediterranean Pita Bread with Arugula and Cottage Cheese."Â
I make a toast for the success of your weight loss goal.

Did you add vegetables inside the pita bread or just turkey?
I am about to prepare anothe light summer lunch. I finished doing my arm exercise routine to improve my triceps and biceps.
I have variations of this for lunch most of the time in the summer. I'm big on sardines too so sometimes I substitute those for turkey, chicken or tuna. Sometimes I get sprats which are the best, not exactly sardines but very similar. Do you like sardines?
You go girl!
I used cottage cheese for texture and because it has 14 gr protein.
Chicken is a good substitute. I do not like fish, so, I don't use sardines or tuna.
I will post another of my recipe on my weight loss blog... just working on that right now.
Do you have a side salad with your pita bread?
I did have a side salad with dinner tonight. Romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, red onion, fresh pressed garlic, Italian and Greek olives, and grated Asiago cheese cheese, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Well going to do some things and get my rest. Have a nice night!
I am not a big meat eater. I prefer chicken, turkey. My main meal is pasta... so I try to combine with different protein food choices to have a balanced meal.
Now you made me hungry with your dinner and those Italian/Greek olives.
I had fennel (finocchio) with balsamic vinegar as an appetizer with my glass of Chianti classico wine.
