When is a brick wall not a brick wall? When it becomes the canvas for a trompe l'oeil image of windows reflecting another building, and an elegant arch. This beauty is located on the northeast corner of N. LaSalle and W. Division in Chicago.

Street level view

The birds don't seem the least bit distracted by the non-existent windows and reflection

It may not be real, but the rose window is still beautiful!
A skillful artist took the plain look of many stories of unadorned brick and used it to create an elegant illusion to please the eye. Delights such as this one are part of the allure of going downtown into Chicago!
