Like most of us I have had a lot of adversity in my life. We all have different stories and experiences we have gone through. The true test in life, in my opinion(you know what they say about opinions), is how we deal with adversity, how we respond, how it changes our outlook on life--whether positive or negative. Some folks step in poop and come out smelling like a rose, while others come out smelling very bad......How do you deal with adversity? What lessons have you learned? How do you feel about yourself having gone through it?
Everything happens for a reason and usually only for a season. I am grateful for everything I have gone through in life. It has made me the person I am today and taught me so much.
How do you feel about where you are now?

Your last paragraph shows that you look for growth. You're grateful for all experiences, even those that were hard. If life were always easy it would be boring and we would not grow. Happiness is often about overcoming hardship.

Yes I am and always have been a very strong person.
And I do think that there are lessons we are meant
to learn in the adversity we face.
Good thought provoking article. Adversity is meant to draw us closer to Jesus, not away from Him. Adversity causes us to draw n the strength of God, Who says He is sufficient in our weakness. Adversity reminds us we are but frail humans and need a Savior. Adversity helps us grow and changes our characters' to become more like Jesus'. Adversity is inevitable at some time in our lives. Jesus knew adversity and knew it well, why do we think we can get through life without it, when the Son of God did not. The Bible says to count it all joy when we go through various trials...if we know Jesus, we know it is never in vain. I don't know how anyone in this life can survive adversity, come out smelling like a rose, without having Jesus by their side to pick them up when they fall. John 3:16 & 17 I leave with you~
