Lots of tasty food at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in Mount Hope. (photos from August 12, 2007)

Old Favorites: Broccoli cheese pastry and

potato chowder in a bread bowl.

New this year: The apple haus! An apple cider slushie and

apple slices in caramel.
One of the main reasons to go to Mount hope is for the wine, b
ut they also produce their own ales!

Wandering vendors sell drinks, pretzels and pickles.

This is off topic, but I have a real soft spot for this particular Ren Faire. It's where my husband proposed to me five years back. He persuaded me to go up on one of the stages with him (after one of the performances ended, so he wasn't interfering with anything), got down on his right knee and popped the question. So no matter what, the Mt. Hope Ren Faire will always be my most favorite.
Aus - I found out a couple of years back that the "turkey" legs are usually ham joints and they weren't so appealing after that.
