Clinton's first-lady records locked up-Isn't that handy

Hillary Clintons documents are locked up at the Bill Clinton Presidential Library until after 2008.  Isnt that handy.

Yeah. She has done a lot of good things for my area in upstate NY, but I remain suspicious. I still remember the scandals that occurred when her husband was President. I also remember family from Arkansas telling me "Don't ya'll vote for that slick Willy!"

Brenda, Do you mean like fireing a bunch of people whom she had no authority to fire and slick willy said "whatever you say dear." Or all the questions about the Rose Law firm? or a dozen other things she has tried to hide by having her papers hidden?

I still can't believe she was elected by NY'ers. One of the few things that makes me glad I don't live there anymore.
Seems to me that there were quite a few federal investigations of the Clintons and we spents millions upon millions and it all led to a big goose egg.

Blame junior for this crapola. The first thing he did after stealing the white house was to lock up his governor records, and make sure that Poppy's records of criminal activities throughout the 80's were sealed away.

When all of the records of the w. admin. are released, most especially records of Cheney's energy task force, then you might have a point. Until then, this criticism is a real laugher.

Steve there is a big difference between a sitting president's administration and someone who seal records when they are running for office. It begs that question what does Hillary not want us to know about her to make a smart decision

Modern. The "executive privilege" claimed by the administration is laughable.

It begs that question what does Cheney not want us to know about his maps of Iraqi oil fields in U.S. energy policy meetings prior to 9/11.

This administration has been the most secretive in modern (perhaps all) U.S. history. Demanding Clinton's papers when she was first lady is just an attempt to "swift boat" her. Besides, she has an eight year record as a senator. That should be enough information for you.

I addressed this on another thread, The precedent for this administrations executive authority comes from the Clinton time. They expanded more than any other president even going to court numerous times. There is a MAJOR difference between those in the White House and those out of it. Her documents should be availiable just like a lot of her husbands. You will get to read Bush's when he leaves too.

You think so? I don't due to the criminal charges that will follow. Even so, I'm sure Clinton's papers can disappear just as easily as did w.'s National Guard records.

Except for the 25% or so, who still really support w., I think this is a dead issue. If you want to go after Clinton (and I'm not a staunch supporter), you're going to have to find something in her senate record to hook into. There's probably enough there to distort for the "swifty boats" to sink their teeth in.

Not according to Bruce Fein - you know, the rightie, who wrote the articles of impeachment against Clinton. He said that congress has a constitutional obligation to impeach Cheney and Bush, in order to prevent the precent these two are trying to establish from passing on to subsequent administrations, regardless whether they are Clinton or Guliani adminstrations.

My mistake. Fein wrote the first article of impeachment against Clinton, and he does discuss the "overreach" of the Clinton administration as the basis for that article of impeachment. That said, he does call for the impeachment of Cheney and Bush. This is a direct link to the video:
