Where were you when you heard Elvis had died

I was born in 1958, however I have ever been a big Elvis fan.. So big that my then husband was afraid I'd hear Elvis had died on the radio so he came to tell me at my office.  One of my lifetime dreams is to go to Graceland.. I told my husband that's what I want for my 50th birthday!  Any Gatherites want to join me?

I don't remember WHERE I was, but I always remember his death because it was also my Dad's B-Day.

You look great if that's you in your icon - would not have said 50. Anyway not a huge Elvis fan myself but ironically I do remember... we were playing Barbies. My sister & I and a neighbor girl were listening to the radio and pretending that the barbie's were at a disco (this was the 70's you know) and all the sudden we heard that Elvis was gone and our neighbor friend was a HUGE fan and just went hysterical and my parent had to help us walk her home she was so distraught!! Hope you get to Graceland!!!
