Just another quick Gather question

When choosing who to publish to I had been putting the setting to Everyone until I realized that it said that it could be searchable online and then I set some of my writings to the second setting, select people and settings, only because I do know some nosy people that I would not want to read some of the things that I have published. So my question is when I chose the second setting does that mean that it cannot be seen by anyone on Gather, i.e tag search. I do not mind everyone on Gather reading my pieces, I just do not want them to be available by just anyone doing an internet search. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

If you publish to certain people or groups, only they can see it. A notice will come up that they do not have permission to view the article. Nothing is ever for sure when it comes to those search engines.

If you choose 'Select People and Groups', and then select a public group (where the group content can be seen by everyone), then your content will probably be visible outside of Gather as well. To safeguard your content from the internet you will need to publish your content to a private or content-restricted group, or mark it with a mature content flag.
