Last week our Ozzie friend Magi the magical poet wrote a poem about all the various kinds of people that can be found on the "Oz Beach". In a comment to the Magi, I told the poet that should I chance to go to a beach, either in Maine or the Cape Cod National Seashore I would search for the folks he mentioned in his illustrious poem and take pictures. In reply to my comment, he told me I should make sure I had "a good pair of running shoes".
Last week I was in Ogunquit and made my way down to the beautiful, crowded, snowy white beach in search of "bikini babes with ample curves, bronzed youths, muscles rippling, etc., etc. etc.

Here is what I found:

" a bikini babe with ample curves"
young men, surf gliding
though not "bronzed, muscles rippling"

a daring kayaker, muscles working...

a laid-back older gent, neither bald nor swagging

happy children, engaged in play
not "overtired kids" that need "good smacking".
a reflective matron with shoulders bare

Families, large and families small
loving and laughing
and building memories in sand.

That is what I found....at the beach.

I love and share in your humor! You are a real girly.
Thank you
"Reflective matron" is my sister Fran, Kelly!
Marinela...and what might that beach be...a beach in Greece? Would absolutely love it if it was a nude beach!
Thanks Kathryn...just a spoof on Magi!
Guyana Amy, Jeanie, and Angela for stopping by.
Lainie, that whole family in the last picture was beautiful. They were really having such a great time together!
thanks nana for stopping by.
I love when grown-ups do sand sculptures, Roy.
Thanks andrew for dropping by!
And here is the link to the poem: Oz Beach.
What makes me curious though are your beaches...definitely when summer comes, you need to get out and start taking pictures of the beaches of Oz so I can see the contrast.
