Somewhere

there is a place

where I belong.

where I feel at peace.

 

Surrounded

by lost souls

seeking an answer

a place to heal.

 

Unsettled

by their pain

feeling every woe

a time to be alone.

 

Seeking

a warming light

people that are grounded

a place I can call home.

Sue - a little late; I just found this. I think the first stanza is just awesome. It says it all for me. It exudes a sense of anxiety that we all have known and sets the image of a safe, peaceful resting spot that we also all can feel in our hearts.

Sue, dear Sue, you are where you are supposed to be or else you would be in another place, another time, another you. We feel the vast lonliness when we can't identify who we are and why we are. Sometimes we just need to enjoy who we are with all its problems and frailities.
Try this:
Today I dedicate my life to
Being me, just me.
Being the best I can be.
Making the most of my life
Accepting all, including strife
Giving joy wherever I can
Always loving my fellow man

Great poem . I can relate totally. Mary great thoughts and ideas though it can be hard to do any and all of it. Especially if not sure who you are or where you are going. How do you make the most of life if not sure who you are or where you going. Its like a compass with no direction spinning but going nowhere. You may at times go forward a little but easy to lose drive focus and go back or off in a new direction.
