I am more than a bit behind in Gather so I will be back to commenting today and for at least a week, if not more. I noticed today that both and my son and not feeling that great so we are going to take it easy for the most part. Please be patient if I haven't gotten to your articles yet. I will. I don't like to delete the e-mails and start over. It just takes me some creative time management. We also bought some new patio furniture on Friday evening so I know it is going to be a hard decision some days on whether to enjoy my yard or to Gather! As much as I love Gather and all my connections, Gather has to take second place to other things to strike a balance in my life for it all or other things get put to the wayside which isn't right.
It has been a few weeks since we have gone to any of the sales lately due to illness, other shopping, weather and just not really having the extra cash to go. But, we finally went to two.
One we discovered for the first time last month and found out it is a monthly one. The second one is at a church that is also held monthly.
We were on a mission to find a table to use for placing a large tank on for our bearded dragon but of course we didn't see anything that we could use and really like that we wouldn't be settling on.
Our first stop was at the Davie Woman's club. It is indoors, small but really nice to walk through because it was nice and cool. Of course, we found alot, or I should say I found alot here. At one point I was picking up so much at one table that I had an audience of vendors watching me from the table. The prices were reasonable and the women were very nice and we didn't really feel the need to talk anyone down in price except for one item we bought there. It was also the only item that we talked down all day.
*I started this article early this morning and have had problems all morning. I am not sure if I will be able to get the rest up today or not. *
This was the first item I saw and bought. It was brand new. When I asked the price and she said $3 I told her sold. The original price on the book is $15.95
My husband found this remote control lobster for my son who was unsure of it. But once he finally saw daddy using the remote and it moving around the floor, my son had to have it. They are both calling it a crab by the way. Fisher Price makes it and even I had fun with this. My dog is not too fond it though. We got it for $2.00
These next several items were from the table that I just kept finding things and ended up having a bit of an audience.
I found these two Rubbermaid containers which I use for alot of my dry food. Living in Florida, ants and roaches can be common so most of my dry food gets stored in containers like these in my cabinets. $1.00 each.
I picked up this milk can for $1. I plan to decorate it with paint and put dried flowers in it.
I saw this picture and just thought it was pretty. It was $2. I just need to polish up the wood frame a bit. It looks very dry. The picture is painted on metal.
I loved this wooden tid bit tray and it was in excellent condition. Sold for $2.
I got this basket for my son. I like it because it is pretty sturdy and is not of wicker so there is not a lot of holes for his toys to get caught in. I paid .50
I loved the wooden bank and it had the plug in the bottom which was great. Sold for $1.
Whenever I see this type of good basket with the metal on the sides I have to check it out. This was in great condition and was $1.
Now that we finished with this vendor my husband saw the shelf at the table of the woman I bought the book from. She came $2 in price to $13 so we bought it. I will go in our living room.
Now we had to get our packages out to the car because we couldn't carry everything anymore and watch our son at the same time. On the way out though I realized I missed some tables so you know I was coming right back! I then picked up these few items.
The woman that I bought so much stuff from gave me the Bob the Builder toy for my son. When we initially walked in everyone remembered our son from the month before. She wanted me to give him Bob the Builder. It was very nice of her and my son loved him.
I found this basket at another table. I just need to fix the flower on it. $1.
I found the metal wall pocket for $2 at the same table with the basket.
Here is a close up of the wall pocket.
When I went to pay she asked if my son would like the grip ball set. For $1 it was something worth the price because he loves it!
The clock was the very last thing I saw on my way out that I really liked. It is brand new and I thought it was very pretty. $5
By the time I got back to the car my husband and son were wondering what happened to me! We were not going to the second one since we did so good at the first one but of course we ended up going and get a few more goodies. That will be part two.
