Alone
oh, the decadent luxury of alone
my daughter’s with my ex for the weekend and I am
alone
went on a date last night
didn’t feel any spark
left her at 10
went down to the Shore
got a beer and
saw all the people that are so busy with each other
connecting, connecting, connecting
feel on the outside
alone
come home
eat a bowl of corn flakes
lay down in bed
in the dark
alone
no one snoring next to me
no one to please
no one in the next room having an asthma attack
no one out on the town on a teenage hormone driven spree
no one but me
alone
