This school year, my youngest is heading off to Kindergarten. On Orientation Day, parents are supposed to sign up their kids for whatever after-school activities they are interested in. If you don't sign up that day, you risk not getting an open spot for your child in their favorite class or group. The problem is, the school is not publishing the list of activities available until that day!
Now, because of my older 3 kids, I have a general idea of what choices may be available. My oldest will continue with his karate lessons, and my next oldest will take more golf lessons. Our princess wants to try cheerleading if they offer it, or some type of hip hop/dance if no cheerleading is on this year's list. But the little guy has no idea what he wants to try. In fact, he is having trouble grasping the concept of just what an after-school activity is! When I talk to him about what he might want to try, he thinks I am talking about our weekly trips to the library, where they have a kids' story & activity time.
How can I help him understand the concept of this, and how can I help him choose which activity he might like to participate in?

Good luck in finding him something to do.
