I've never met a writer who wasn't a voracious reader also. The love of the written words runs deep in those who dare to put their thoughts out in the public domain. As I've progressed from hand writing my first novel in spiral notebooks to being a published author, the one thing more than anything that has helped me get to this point has been the support of my fellow writers. One very special writer served as my first critique partner. One local writers group led me to my first conference and helped me practice my first pitch for an editor. The list could go on and on, but where is that support now?
In the last two weeks since, THE GREATER GOOD, was released, I've received numerous emails from my author friends. Two of those have me featured on their blogs this week. Many to tell me they purchased my book and loved it. Some to give me more ideas for promotion. Yes, breaking into publishing is difficult and competitive, but I've gotten there because of writers supporting writers. So please, as you strive for your own benchmarks of success, remember to support your friends and colleagues. Visit their blogs, their chats, their booksigning, their websites even if you don't purchase their book the numbers are supportive.
If you have time check out these authors and their blogs as they have supported me. Both have me featured today on their blogs with an interview.
Both are very successful authors with professional websites. I won't mind if you pop over to my site also.

Selling a book is great, but then the promotion of the book starts. That's a whole other ballgame.
I'm going to go and check out those blogs.
