Who is this looking back at me
with the winsome smile
Who beckons with those eyes
Who stirs these memories
I know that face so very well
I have seen it change with time
From young and eager,to maturity
with strength, yes age will tell
this boy I see here means so much
just how he looks at me
He became the man I loved through life
I surrendered at his touch
The life we lived together,
was wonderful and true
The face in the photograph
the boyish wonder shown
Became my reason for my life,
Such happiness I've known

I also loved my husband when we were eighteen, and keep his young picture on my bedroom wall.
