The Yo-Yo Quilts are now completed!

Woo Hoo!! I finally did it! I just finished my final Yo-Yo Quilt this afternoon! Yippee!! Now Christmas is complete for two people. That is a huge amount of work off of me for the moment.

I still have a ton of work to do, like getting my craft room finished up, making a baby blanket for the new baby (Hurry up Sept. 11 so I can hold my new grandson!!), and a quilt for my granddaughter. Yes, she has informed me that she has to have a quilt for her bed made by me. Go figure!! LOL

At least now my quilting won't take over the living room now because I am done with the hand sewing. Well, at least for the time being anyways. I plan on using the sewing machine for the rest of the quilts that need to be done.

Now, do I do the denim quilt or do I make Crazy Quilt? Hmmm...I have the needles and the thread for the denim, but I still need room to cut the jeans up. I also have a two totes full of scrap fabric that would be perfect for the Crazy Quilt. Hmmm...decisions, decisions, decisions!!!

LOL! I try. If I don't start slacking off, I might actually get my craft room finished, which would be nice, because then I could have room to actually start cutting jeans up for the denim quilt. Plus I would have room to scrapbook and do my other crafts in between sewing projects!

Congrats on the babies!! My grandson is due Sept. 11. I would love to have a reason to celebrate Sept. 9 as it is my birthday! LOL My daughter thinks that wowuld give me a big head though. I just want a reason to celebrate!!!

I still have to complete a quilt for my granddaughter by Christmas if I can. I don't think it will come to be this year though. Too much to do and I go back to work on the 27th of this month driving the school bus.

Plus I really need my craft room done so I can have the room to work on her quilt.

I will post some pictures as soon as I can. I need my husband's help in getting the quilts layed out. I might only take pictures of one since they are basically the same and all the fabric is the same, just in different places.

Congratulations! That is quite a large project to complete. can't wait to see pictures.

I need to finish my postage stamp quilt. The top is done I just need to quilt it...BY HAND!!! eek! But if I can sew over 10,000 1 1/2 inch squares together by hand, I can quilt it too...now I just need a quilt frame and a place to set it up...LOL

Good luck getting your granddaughter's and new baby's quilts done in time. I am still working on the quilt top for my son's baby quilt...and he's 7 years old now! Guess I'm a bit behind...LOL

As far as whether to do denim first or crazy quilt first...how about a denim crazy quilt? That would be cool...

you sound like me...lots of plans for Christmas, and get done what I can, and then think, "Oh well, next year..." I got a couple of the tops for christmas done on my last days off, that was great. Crazy quilts are about my favorite. I love beading them, accenting them, coming up with things I haven't done before to make them interesting. On my sailboat quilt I used a crazy block border. Congrats on the new grandchild, and happy birthday, too!

My wife and I are thinkin of starting a yoyo quilt don't know if we will succeed but we might try it out.
