Health:
You can determine to have healthy blood pressure by your lifestyle. Exercise is primary--even a 30 minute walk a day will do it. You can walk in place while watching TV, especially during this heat wave. Drink water frequently aiming for 48 to 64 ounces a day. Add flavor if you don't like plain water. Keep dehydrating drinks like coffee and alchohol to a minimum or even none.
Wealth:
When you buy big bags of chips or crackers, put serving sizes into zip lock or sandwhich bags. Your items will stay fresher and you'll have the perfect amount each time. It will save you money when you don't throw out stale crackers and chips.
Diet:
Watch all the additives you put into or on your food for trans fat, or saturated fat, salt, sugar, and artificial flavors. They aren't as good for you as natural foods.
Exercise:
Too hot to exercise right now? Go to the mall and walk but don't stop to shop. Make it a brisk walk. The pace should be fast but not so fast that you can't talk without getting out of breath.
Beauty:
Massage your head before you shampoo then brush vigorously loosening dirt and oil. Use cool water for the final rinse. A combination of vinegar and water is an excellent rinse to get rid of any soap scum.
Style:
If any of your clothes need repair, a stitch here or a stich there, don't hang them up. Put them aside until you can repair them or have them repaired. Make sure hems of skirts and slacks are not coming loose.
Spiritual:
When you know someone is hurting, or in some kind of trouble or pain, offer up a prayer for them. If you don't believe in praying, put them in your positive thoughts.
