I called in once and said that a branch had fallen on and damaged my car. It had but I sort of elaborated the damage......................

I called in and said, "The someone came to pick up the woman who lives upstairs, they blocked my car in while they waited for her to come out then their car wouldn't start...". Nope, not true but a darn good excuse!

When I was pregnant and close to my due date I called in and said I was having way to many contractions and I needed to rest because I was in ALOT of pain. It was totally true but something that any pregnant woman could get away with.
