I went to my cousin's wedding this weekend. Now, the bride's family is large and Italian. Her sister (the maid of honor) joked in her toast that she only knew one word in Italian - mangia (eat)!
The reception, at the Atrium Country Club, was full of delicious food and lots of it.
Cocktail hour had a full appetizer buffet including pasta, sish-ka-bobs, fajitas and crepes (sorry guys, I failed to get photos).
Dinner was a four course affair (Note: the descriptions in quotes are as they were printed on the menu):

Appetizer: "Chilled seasonal array of fresh fruits and berries served with traditional raspberry sauce."

Salad Course: "Bouquetere of mixed mesclun salad wrapped with English cucumber accompanied by a confetti of tri-colored peppers and garnished with roasted pignoli nuts, raspberry vinigrette dressing and garlic toast." The vinigrette was very strong, but the greens were fresh and tasty.
Entree Choices:

"Roast Prime Rib of Beef Au Jus" It came either rare or well done with fried mashed potatoes, baby carrots and asparagus - the veggies were incredible and the beef was quite good.

"Norwegian Salmon potato encrusted served over spinach sauteed in oil and garlic with port wine sauce."
Also quite good, the spinich was significantly garlic-y.
"Chicken Saltimbocca: sauteed chicken cutlet rubbed with fresh sage, topped with prosciutto and fresh mozzerella and accompanied with white wine Valoute"
"Summer Garden Lasagna" (Sorry, no one at our table ordered these last two.)
Dessert:

The wedding cake was chocolate with a raspberry filling. Isn't it beautiful?

"Mousse de Chocolate Crepe Au Cognac"
Sounds and looks a lot more impressive than it was. They were pre-made crepes with a cool-whip kind of "mousse".

Also, an "international coffee bar and chocolate fondue fountain".

The alcohol flowed liberally from the open bar and there were two champagne toasts.
All in all, a delicious time and enjoyable was had by all!

But it would be a top shelf bar.
I loved my homemade appetizer spread enjoyed with punch.
