It has been so long since I've posted an article, I feel as though I am a newbie here. Some of you know the changes that I've gone through over the past month. My goodness, has it been only a month? Seems like the word should have an "s" at the end. However, I've since settled the multitude of issues that kept me away and am ready to focus on the "Pieces of Me" journal I started months ago.
I am also wanting re-establish the wonderful friend/colleague base here on Gather, specifically regarding "Estrogenized." I started a group called "Estrogenized" a few months ago. It is for women only - to share stories they may feel uncomfortable with sharing with the wonderful male connections we have. There are 140 ladies in the group (and there were two gentlmen who snuck in for a while, much to the chagrin of Ms. Tomi, lol - but that's another story all together).
If you are a new connection and are interested in the group - please let me know as joining is by invitation only. Also, there was talk of starting a group for all to share their lifes' war stories. However, I was bombarded with the "real" side of my life for a while and just haven't had the opportunity to create the group. Let me know if the interest is still there, and I'll proceed.
With that said, I'll insert a part of "Be Careful With Your Needs."
“Be careful with your needs, you’ll miss them when their gone.” It’s rather amusing as this is what I heard in a song by Baz Luhrman, “The Sunscreen Song.” The actual line is, “Be careful with your knees……” For years I did not know I was misquoting him. However, my inner ear heard what it needed to hear.
When I started the group "Estrogenized," I had a belief that we could help each other by sharing our experiences. Thinking one is alone with their feelings is the worst kind of nightmare. There are some stellar women here (and you know who you are) who have made huge contributions to the life force that connects us
And, I thank you. I also had a belief that my experiences could help some of you. However, I found out that the opposite was truer. The sincerity and love you all have given me over the last few days has opened a plethora of emotions I did not know I had. I find that I need you all: you, your support and wisdom......
I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. And, thanks for being wonderful connections.
