This is a recipe that my Grandma Payne gave me.
Ingredients:
1 box cake mix (yellow or white)
6-7 firm peaches or apples
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 stick of butter
Preheat the oven to whatever temperature the cake mix indicates (usually 350 degrees). Peel, core, and chunk the fruit. Basically you want to fill the bottom of a 13x9 rectangle baking dish (I peel them over a towel and throw the chunks right into the dish).

Mix 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk in a bowl. Put chucks of fruit and contents of bowl in the baking dish(there will be just enough liquid to cover the fruit).

Dump the contents of the dry cake mix over the top the fruit mixture (again there is just enough to cover the fruit mixture).

Slice up the stick of butter (I keep mine in the freezer until I need it and I used the slice part of a shredder to cut it up quick) and scatter over the top of the dry cake mix. Place on center of rack in the center of the oven and bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown, whichever comes first.

Enjoy the cobbler it tastes great hot or cold!
