Do your kids eat enough fruits & veggies? Do you?
I often find that my kids do better with this than I do. I was a stay at home mom when they were very little, so I was able to cook wholesome meals almost nightly. At school they get healthy meals served to them most of the time. At home these habits carry through in their choices.
I really do love a good salad but am not big on other veggies unless I'm eating out. Go figure that one! I prefer fruits and am starting to get better about buying the types I enjoy, like strawberries or blueberries when they're on sale. Bananas fly off our shelf so fast it's almost not worth buying those sometimes. Watermelon is awesome but not very cheap unless you buy the whole giant melon, which is a mess in our tiny kitchen.
The kids love all the above and enjoy broccoli and black olives. One loves cauliflower. One wants spinach every chance he can get it, and every way you can prepare it, raw or cooked!
Do you buy real fruit juice or more of the fruit-flavored juices like punches? I prefer sodas and the caffeine helps my fibromyalgia energy levels so much, so I often don't drink enough healthy stuff. I do drink tons of water though.

I also suffer from fibromyalgia, though I have found no correlation with diet. I do not drink soda and limit caffiene, as it interfers with my sleep.
I have started stocking fruits and veggies, but in limitied quantities. I cannot stand produce that is too ripe. Bananas are out of the question during mosquito season. My older children are rarely home, and my youngest would survive on a diet of ramen if allowed.
Veggies are tougher. I try and incorporate veggies into most dishes - usually put veggies in pasta, casseroles, etc. Believe it or not, my son doesn't like carrots. Nuts - so much for a good veggie snack! But he loves to eat from my salads, and I do a lot of "sneaking" in veggies. I also make crab-stuffed mushrooms that he devours. So I suppose I'm not doing too badly. And if he wont eat veggies, I usually put melted cheese on top of it, and then he'll at least try the veggies. I justify this by telling myself he needs the fat. ;-)
I make myself a fresh salad about 3-4 times a week, as I'm a stay at home mom. My husband gets one about 1-2 times a week, and my son won't eat any kind of fresh veg like that (in a salad) except for cherry tomatoes (or grape tomatoes). I've tried cucumbers and he doesn't like them. I was a picky child at one point and that was my favorite veg in a salad.
I feel if the veggies and fruits are in the house, and on the table, they will eventually try them. They see you eating them and get curious. I hate when I go to other homes and find no fresh veg or fruit anywhere and the parents complain that their children and hubby won't eat them so they don't buy them. If you put it there, they will eat it! Take away something they love and say they can't eat it unless they eat their veg! Works for my son!
