A piece of random fact from an email newsletter that I subscribe to:

"At ten stories tall and with over 750,000 square feet of space, The Harold Washington Library Center in Chicago has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest public library building in the world."

That's pretty cool.

No doubt! That would be a neat place to visit. We traveled to Chicago for a class trip once, and got to see the Museum of Science and Industry and other sites. So many neat things, fairly close to home (about 150 miles east of here)! Thanks for posting this.
