Does Anyone Out There Work From Home?

Does anyone out there work from home?

 

I have been searching for opportunities to work from home.  I am trying to get a novel published, as many of you are, and I just don't want to leave the house right to make someone else rich.  But, I have one more month of savings left here. (I can survive one more month).

Does anyone know of any products that, maybe, I can distribute? 

 Or, does anyone work at home and have something that I can sign up for?

 

These are more questions.  I know this is not considered an article, but maybe someone else has the same question.

Look into all the companies out there and ask yourself: is the start-up reasonable and affordable; will there be a constant demand for the product and/or are the products in some way consumable (requiring reorders); how long has the company been in business; what is their public reputation like (this may require you to "ask around" for opinions); are their products guaranteed; and what will the business require of you. Personally, I have found something great in AVON, but I know there are lots of other companies out there. Just make sure you put the time into research before jumping in AND, most importantly, approach it as something that HAS to work and you will succeed. That's how I have and continue to succeed in my business.

This is really going to depend on your skills and experience, and what you like to do. I work from home, but I do the books for my fiance's business. However, I have been looking into other opportunities to earn more. If you are internet savvy, there are retailers that you can set up an affilliate site and earn commission of products that sell through your storefront. These require little investment, but you need to be able to position to drive sales. I am looking into the pet product industry because it is booming. I think it is a better alternative to the sell to you freinds type or "party" businesses.

I do Melalueca. I used to do it as a business, but not anymore. I still order my products every month because I love them. I still get a check every month too. I wish I had time to do more with it as a business, but I have to set priorities you know...

Yes, as you see from my group that you just posted in here (read the 3 articles please), I earn $500 to $1000 a month consistently from PTR, PTC, PTS, online surveys, and many other paying sites that have been around and are proven.

I sold Avon for awhile and you can earn money, specially, if you live in a neighborhood that has money to spend. There are many low cost products that everyone needs to purchase regularly.

I agree. Avon is cheap to start if you thing you'd be able to sell.
However, if you're a writer, I'd suggest reading The Well Fed Writer by Peter Bowerman. He has a step by step plan to get paid to write from home.

I'm an executive recruiter so I can work from home. However, I do see on a daily basis the number of "scam" job postings, promising big $$ working part-time from home.

That said, if you are open to MLM opportunities, I have heard great things about Pampered Chef (but it's around $300 to sign on as a consultant) and, of all things, Pure Romance (a friend of mine sells it and swears she averages $250 in commission per party, plus there are tons of giveaways for their consultants - if you're interested, email me and I'll give you my friend's email address.)

I do rental housing so my work is from home unless I am at one of the houses cleaning or fixing things. I do all my own accounting so that takes a lot of my time. If you can do typing or accounting you can do that from home. There is a lot of call for people to type research papers, resumes and other things like that.

I have a home business which I work part time for now. The start up is inexpensive and your choice. It is not a get rich quick scheme. It is a teaching & training company or perhaps more of a "guide". We have partnered with a 50-year old health & wellness company for our products. It is slow going but very steady and a sure winner.
