Terminado. Finito. Finished! The final stop on my eleven week book blog tour. Were some of you wondering just how long this book blog tour would continue? Just how much more could you learn about a book or it’s author without moving into their home?
The amazing thing is that at every stop, readers of these tour events have learned something new. And, so have I. Each review different, each question unique. I’ve felt like a gem being examined through different facets, which isn’t too far fetched when you consider that Beryl actually is a family of gemstones (emerald, aquamarine, pink morganite, golden beryl).
Carla, as many of you know is an ordained Unity minister, author, motivational/inspirational speaker, and life coach. And, somehow, midst all this activity manages to blog on Gather and moderate Soul Food – a group she founded so Gatherers can share their stories of hope and inspiration with others trying to cope with life challenges.
Carla has another blog Spiritually Speaking where she writes on topics as far ranging as sex and spirituality, food and drink, and yes, politics. Of course, there is no reason why spirituality should not be part of every facet of human life. Pierre Theilhard de Chardin wrote in the first half of the 20th century, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience”
Carla is one interesting lady. While poking around her blog site, I learned that she grew up in a small town in Kansas and when still in her 20's worked as a Playboy Bunny ! Her recently completed memoir, "Nobody's Perfect: One Woman's Journey from Playboy to Pulpit,” should be a hot seller if she could just find the right agent or publisher. You won’t have to don a bunny outfit, however, to hop over to Carla's blog tour event – just come in and hang out a bit. I’ll be there to answer questions and respond to comments throughout the week. Later today I have to drive to the Twin in order to give a morning talk at The Great American Women’s Getaway.
For those of you who might be interested, here is the entire event series.
