Some folks are either a dog person or a cat person. Me, I could go either way. Right now we have a big ole lab mix named Misty, who is 7, and tomorrow we bring home Cocoa, a 2 month old chocolate lab mix who will likely grow just as big as her new big sister. If not for the fact that 2 healthy, curious labs would eat a cat as soon as look at one, I would probably have a cat around the house as well. Of course, you also have to consider that with 4 hyper kids, having sturdy large dogs is much more practical!
So, how 'bout you? Which type of furry (or not so furry) friend do you prefer, or do you dislike the idea of having a pet in your home altogether? Got an unusual pet? My kids had a phase where they wanted a naked mole rat and thankfully this passed before it came to fruition. I would not care to own a pet that freaks me out at the mere sight of it! That includes all reptiles, by the way. Live on a farm? What types of animals do you raise or care for there?

I've enjoyed all the cats so much that I've ever met!
I've known a few dogs who were special and wonderful too.
The only dog I've ever owned was a beautiful Samoyd who my roommate at the time took out without a leash and he ran off and got run over.
I've never had another dog but sometimes dream of another Samoyd.
Would love to have a Golden Retriever or Labrador Retriever dog someday, but already have my hands full with my 3 1/2 y.o. son.
