I've Heard It All Now...

I was just watching CNN and they had a segment on about a Hockey Fight Camp. It teaches youth hockey players to fight correctly when on the ice, so that they don't end up hurt. You mean to tell me there is a camp that parents are paying for entirely focused on how young people can fight while playing a youth sport. I never in all my life have heard of such a ridiculous thing. What does everyone think? Would you pay to have someone teach your child how to fight properly....?

I don't think any youth sport should encourage or condone fighting...bottom line, kids are the future and if that is what we really want for a future, we are in big trouble...There is a difference between fighting and rough hockey...calling it a Fight School certainly implies something.

No, I'd just stick my daughter on the rink and she'd kick all those boys around. No lessons needed. As the only girl with 3 brothers, she's had them on the run since she was in her baby walker!
