They say opposites attract. This presents interesting challenges and a lot of give and take. Not all relationships are like that, some people are attracted to the same.

We are different in others... I'm silly and out going, she's a bit more reserved until she's comfortable.
I think we keep each other grounded, in tune with what is really important and real in our lives. Thats what makes us good for each other
We have similar goals and look at the world at pretty much the same way. We often have different ways of coming about the decision, but the outcome is almost always the same. It is weird!
However, we think alike. We might not always agree (although it is rare when we don't) we can always understand why the other person thinks or feels the way they do and so it never causes a problem.
And even more important, we have found that we each give love the way the other needs it. There is no compromise, no work, no doubt.
I guess what's important is that whatever relationship you are in that it works for you whether it be opposite, alike, or a little of each!
