Can you believe TODAY is the last day of July? The summer is just flying by! Speaking of flying; who’s your favorite Superhero? Gather member Rory M. wants to know, plus a look at the latest list of Favorite Family Photo winners and a little Breaking News in the Family Essential! It’s all happening TODAY on Gather!
(1.) When I was a kid I wanted to be Wonder Woman. I mean, between the supercool silver wrist-cuffs, the invisible airplane, and the fierce boots… what’s not to love? Later I fell in love with The Greatest American Hero (do you remember that TV show?) Who’s your favorite Superhero? Gather member Rory M. is asking and lots of Gatherers are chiming in. (2.) Being a die-hard news junkie, anything that has “Breaking News” in the title gets my attention. So imagine my interest and surprise to find a little breaking news action in Gather’s Family Essential? Member Andrea M. wrote a sweet and heart warming photo essay entitled “Breaking News: Kids Win Despite Slacker Mom.” I really enjoyed watching Andrea’s kids collect their ribbons at the state fair, I know you will too. Great updates! How about some on Terry Shaw and The Way Life Should Be. Terry has been a humble and gracious contest winner. In the aftermath of his contest win he's participated in Gather happenings; helped other Gather writers, and has been an all-around good guy. Gatherers within your "happenings" range could order a pre-publication copy of The Way Life Should Be, available on Amazon.com as we speak. The price is right, but it will go up in September when his book is published. Terry deserves this thrust and any promotion you could give him s well deserved. Thank you, Pam!
