I've been having all kinds of issues. Disappearing articles. People appearing and disappearing as friends. Emails coming and going. I think it's the Gather Ghost. I hope he's a nice one! LOL

flit, I think it is taking a lot longer than expected to fix this problem, but it is being worked on. The Gather Guides have not received any word that it has been fixed yet though.

It seems these current glitches have been pretty major ones. Hope we don't have any similar "upgrades" in the near future. The last one messed stuff up quite a bit!

I can't publish in Firefox anymore since then either.... even though I've allowed all popups... for all sites, not just gather... nothing pops up so can't paste from word.

I've had some issues publishing the last week...I don't know what the deal is...gather gremlin I guess.
I'm with Wilma. This was the worst upgrade ever. I can't delete, and I'm also not getting email notifications of comments on my articles. I just have to keep the window minimized and refresh it from time to time to see if anyone has checked me out.

But, first thing in the morning, I'm swamped with the notifications. Sometimes they're from articles I've written awhile back and I missed the opportunity to thank someone for reading me or making a new connection.

Good grief! It took me three tries to disconnect before I heard someone else mention it. I'd thought it was just a Gather joke on me.
That last upgrade could use an upgrade.

oh...that's not good

could be worse though... when my problems (angina) started, the only way to get the tests done in any reasonable sort of time frame was for me to be an inpatient.... they kept me in the hospital for 3 whole weeks!

Talk about bored & cranky!

I was not an ideal patient.

love adjusting the margins.
already had stress test, ct lung, ultra sound legs. he did not think an angio was necessary so did not do when i wasin lat week. goiing for the colonoscopy.

I'm thinking the prof is at the Barrie campus on Wednesday anyway ... in which case I could have an extra day ..... my big push to get it done is because I am at the Orillia campus tomorrow....

just emailed him to ask.... since it's not ACTUALLY due til Wednesday

still trying to get it all done today ... but that would take some of the pressure off ..... I HATE everything I write the first day I write it.... so if I can just get it done knowing that I can edit it tomorrow night, that would be better.

I have to speak up for my mentor, Froggy the Gremlin and his kind. If he were messing with Gather you'd understand the true power of the gremlin. You'd see metaphorical rivers of blood running through the metaphorical streets of Gather. Articles, even the ones that made sense, would turn into gibberish. Tom and Maryanne would send out mass emails about fetishism and compulsory polyandry. People's icons would change randomly.

That's the sort of thing a real gremlin would do. Ordinary software bugs are beneath the masters of malice.

There does seem to be something wrong at Gather...the last couple of days I rarely get messages to my inbox saying someone commented...then I feel blue...imagine the articles been up for 2 hours and nobody's seen it...then I click on the article to reread the article to see what's wrong with it and WOW...there's 4 comments. Usually notice of these comments show up the next day. So what's with that?

Have never disconnected....so I have no idea...I have tried to delete alot of my pics and they are a PAIN!!
