Dear Poetry Friends & Colleagues:
I am writing you a note today to tell you how much I appreciate each and every one of you. Your inspiration and encouragement to me during the last 15 weeks of competition has been a gift from God. Each of you is talented with gifts worthy of admiration and recognition and for me to have been chosen by Ernie to be robed with a judge’s gown of discernment this week and have the honor of observing your work from this angle, humbles me very much; for I am assessing the work of the very ones who have helped bring me to this position.
Our excellent group owner, Ernie, has made PPOW an exciting venture for all of us and I would like to commend him for all that he has done to inspire each of us. We are each the recipient of his unmatched commitment and contributions.
I would like to offer you this gratefulness from my heart for what you have done for me as fellow members and remind you that your work befittingly complements the phrase “everything’s coming up roses”. As your friend and fellow colleague, I look forward to being with you this week and having the pleasure of enjoying your work. I will leave my comments of encouragement and praise in the comment box below each of your articles.

I'm not a very competitive person. If I told you I didn't like winning, I'd be a liar. However, just the joy of participating is enough. I enjoy the banter with my Gather friends.
