Weather Patterns.

The weather has gone mad, or so it seems.

Where I live, it rains and rains.

Never before have I seen so much rain.

I thought last year was bad.

It is record heat in some places, and record water highs in others.

Speaking of water, have you been following the water situation in England?

That is crazy!

It is in China too.

Water, water, water.

Getting back to the record heat, it has been very hot in Nevada and Arizona.

Too hot at times, even for them.

No matter where you go, it is not normal.

I can't wait for winter to see what happens.

Well, on second thought, yes I can.

Is any place normal right now?

Indiana is hot, rainy and humid - about as normal as it gets for summer here.
I do think the seasonal creep is truly upon us as spring and fall seem to come a bit earlier each year. Sometimes we seem to have light winters and the global warming theorists are right on and then pow we get snowed in with huge blizzards and that theory goes out the door for a while.
Watch the gulf stream and El-Nino weather patterns as ocean temperatures fluctuate - now there's a pattern.

As an environmentalist I cringe at the changing weather patterns.

Although, the part i am still confused about is the reports that it is the worst rain / floods / drought in 60 Years (or whatever length of time). One would think with Global warming it would be the worst conditions ever. At least the worst conditions since recorded history.

Does this tell us that we should rethink the global warming theory ?

In Michigan we have been getting these weird weather situations that when viewed from the NOAA Weather satellites look like huricanes over the land. Our weather here in Northeast Michigan this last week came from the East which doesn't happen too often. It brought in dry air which made 85 degrees feel just about right. We have only had a few thunderstorms in the last few years and last winter I didn't run the snowblower or have the driveway plowed. Also, my homepage on my Internet browser is set to a webcam that overlooks Agawa Bay in Lake Superior and it's rare to see waves that are big anymore. It used to be that every few days the big waves would come crashing in, but not any more.

You're right George it has gone totally mad, you can't imagine what it will do next and the winter will be another mystery. All we can do is hold on and enjoy the ride.

We still haven't completely recovered from the ice storm. That was bad. It's been a pretty mild summer so far here.

More rain than usual in NW Washington this summer. Usually we quit mowing the lawn after awhile because it's dead; a spark can catch your straw on fire. We're finally getting our "dry season."

In south Sweden, we had approximately 1 week of winter this year... and so far we have had about 1 week of summer also... with bouts of serious flooding. Very irritating, that.

How about Planet X, could explain a lot about what is going on. As far as global warming goes if it is caused by us then why are all the planets in the solar system warming up at the same rate---I know you will never hear this on CNN as they only report what the Government wants them to report. The answer is prepare for the worst and keep your powder dry...

We get dust from the Sahara Desert here in the Caribbean...wreaks havoc on your' respiratory system. I've lived off and on throughout my life in the Caribbean...never even heard about any dust coming clear across the Atlantic Ocean from the Sahara. On the weather map it's this dark cloud that sometimes envelopes the whole island or islands...sort of like 'The Fog'...scary stuff...and you gotta breathe this stuff...my throat is raw right now and the asthma is terrible.

The weather certainly is acting up all over the place these past few years. I'm trying to book tickets to Saturn or out of the Milky Way period.

I must say that we in San Antonio and South Texas are really tired of all the rain. We had the better part of the last two days without rain. We wake up this morning and it's raining. :(

This past winter, wasn't a winter. It was warmer than normal. Our summer is a bit cooler this year. We've had ample rain. If I've learned anything over the past few years, it's that we can't "depend" on normal anymore.

No, it's not normal. Just this week the temperature in Canada, near the Artic circle was 95 degrees. The polar ice caps are almost non existent. There is a problem of major and catastrophic proportions.

Southwestern Montana is unusially hot and dry. It hasn't rained here since the summer equinox began. It was an unusual winter here too, very little snow pack, hence very little snow melt, leaving us bone dry.

Here in Los Angeles, our "rainy season" 06-07 has set a record for driest water year (3.21") in all recorded history (27% less than 2001-02's previous low mark). I really miss the thunderstorms I used to enjoy when I lived in PA!

I believe the weather has been very strange nearly everywhere. Here in West Texas, July is usually very hot and dry. Our grass usually burns up in June and by now we have inches of dust. It's kind of nice, having green lawns, but I could do without the mud! And my garden is happy! What bothers me the most is the temperatures. We have days only in the 80's and nights get down into the low 70's, sometimes even 60's. We've almost always hit 100 by now, and this year haven't gone over 95 yet. It's very strange to think this is July when it feels much more like March! I keep wondering if all those things I've said won't happen til a 'cold day in July' are going to catch up with me now! LOL!

In Oklahoma- rain, rain, rain. Mild temps, though- that was really nice! Looks like another round of rain this week. Hope it dries up before the PGA arrives next week!

Here in Indiana it had been hot one day cool the next week. It is so weird! When I liven in Las Vegas there were two types of weather Hot and Cold. Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, and half of March were cold every other month was hot! My mother and sister who are still there are dying!

Crud; someone would have to get a dig in at Bush even when talking about the weather. We are going to miss Bush; who will we blame when he is gone? I hear he may cancel Christmas this year too.

It was a little dry in KY late in the spring and early in the summer but I think we are getting back to normal.

Last Autumn in Virginia it went from green to brown. We had warm weather all the way into December. Snows...thats becoming a fleeting memory in these mountains. And I dont want to even talk about Summer.
