Poltergiests.......Do you have them or are you the cause?

That's an interesting twist, I hadn't ever heard of it that way!

I find the possibility interesting and potentially plausible. I'm convinced that psychic abilities can be real (some fraud occurs, of course), that ghosts and spirits exist, and that we can, deliberately or unintentionally, make things happen. So while I hadn't heard it put the way you have here, before, the way you explain it does fit what I already feel to be true. ;) Have to say, though, that I haven't been through this type of experience and would hope never do.

Cherri and Lune I'm glad that I could introduce a new theory to think about.

By the way I have seen something like this on Ghost Hunters, there was one investagation that the activity in the house seemed to be centered around a girl who looked to be around her early 20s. They did not really notice the activity in one room until she was brought in though it was very minimal activity like temp drops. Although Jason Hawes talked to her a little and while talking to her he felt this burning sensation on his back like someone had a match to his back. After the investagation he checked out his back and there was a mark there like something had happened like what he felt.

I have heard of this theory also, I know when my oldest was about 15 we had the most activity in my house ever. She also at the time was messing around with a Ouija Board(which she did not have permission to use). In my house it could be a little bit of multiple things.

Also, in my house apparitions have been seen by different people, I have had activity when no one has been home but me, I have had voices ask me I was OK and take my wedding ring -telling me I did not need it. I personally have never seen the apparition in full- my daughters have and so has some of my friends. I have just got the feeling someone was there or a split second see something.

Yes, we do. I don't know that I'd call it a poltergeist but there is something going on around this house and it is centered in my daughter's room for the most part.

There is more than one here. I'm sure of that. My daughter believes them to be harmless and I don't. I want them gone.

She lost her father in a car wreck three years ago. About six months later she lost her grandmother. Then a few months ago she lost her grandfather. She thinks these "presences" are them but I don't.

That's not even counting the ghost that hangs out in the hallway. He was already here when we bought the house but only my daughter and I can see him.

Oh my you have quite a house full of spirits. Most ghosts are harmless though. Most ghost hunters are more scared of the living than they are of ghosts. In most cases the ghosts are just trying to make thier presence known. Now demonic spirits are another story, they are more agressive than normal spirits.
Have you seeked help from a local ghost hunting group?

No. I feel that whatever the issue is in her room it needs to be resolved by us. Whatever it is, she has brought it here and she keeps it here. Maybe it is her dead relatives that she needs to let go of.

Excluding the guy in the hall. He just stands there and he was here first. I'm sure he'll still be here when we're all gone.

I don't believe in ghosts when i am awake but I have some sick ass dreams. Just wrote an article about that subject. you might like the picture in it. Don't worry Trista, they aren't real. Maybe worry then, cuz it means it's all in your head, and you should be scared of yourself. haha. booo

With some of the moods females have during their cycles, I'm surprised more don't have heads that spin around. I don't know if that's but part of the explaination. Just as there are good and evil, there are 'good' and 'bad' poltergeists, of which I have co-habitated with a little of both. In the last home I resided, there were at least three, possibly four spirits/entities. One was a young boy of about 10-12. He was a bit mischievous in that he would move things, take things away and put them back in the same spot later, open and close doors and windows, adjust the volume on the music playing...things like that. Just a boy being a boy; nothing destructive or harmful. On the third floor, that was used as an 'attic' for storage (and Halloween parties) and used to be a fifth apartment (closed for lack of fire escape), there could have been the really mean side of a middle aged woman who hated men or it really was something evil that should be left alone. She was none too happy three gay men occupied the two second floor apartments, but the other make guests that used to come over, especially the crowds for parties. But things started happening from an uneasy feeling in the basement to finding dead birds all over, especially on the third floor...feathers plucked and strewn in a circle around the carcass, which was always missing its head. I don't know if the evil comes out because that's the way they were in life or if it has to do with the surroundings of their death. Maybe it's the female hormones with the gays who lived there, which would go hand in hand with the female in the house theory.

You hit that right on the head...it is not the dead we should fear ..but the living! my mother had told me that years ago.

My youngest daughter would rather walk thru a truly haunted house than one of the fake halloween ones with people grabbing at you. I am kinda glad that I exposed her to the paranormal sides of life- she is a little less afraid in certain situations... of course we have had a few "run dude" moments! not so much when we are with the whole group on investigations!

(I have gone to places at night with just me and her...and I got spooked- that we might get robbed!) I have so many pictures that to me are pretty cool!

It is so sad that in our time that we should be more afraid of the living! With all the murders and assaults going on. I really have never heard of any spirit being able to murder, except maybe the case of the Bell Witch. That is the only occurence that I can think of.
that really is a good thing I think to teach your daughter that Donna. I am going to try to teach that to my kids so that they might not be afraid of the paranormal and maybe in a sense be more in tune with it. I read today that kids are more sensative than adults becouse they don't have that mind set like all adults do that those things can't be real. so I figure that if I teach them that those things can be real that maybe they will be able to see things even when they are adults that we don't see.

Women......

I just rememembered about four years ago, Iwas in my friends house while he worked in another city on the other side of the state. I was close to his father who lived around the corner from his house. Twice I would be walking up the stairs and see a very tall man standing there in a suit.
One day my friends father pulled out old pictures. There was the man I had seen in the same suit. It was his father's father. A month later my friends father was diagnosed with a heart disease and no cure. I think his spirit showed up to tell me to be there for my friends father.

I've never heard of this before either. I've seen articles on men who are afflicted with the poltergeists and often are the center of the poltergeists abuse.

I've never experienced anything even remotely close myself and I think I'm happy about that! LOL

I think that's just a bunch of poppycock. Yeah, I said it, poppycock. I do think there are instances when people cause things to happen telekinetically and it's completely unintentional and unbeknownst to them. But there isn't always a hormonal girl around when these things happen. Many times the young entity in my old house would show anger at being left alone and move stuff around when we were gone. Sometimes I would come home to find a chair pushed to the medicine cabinet and the children's Flintstone vitamins on the floor. One night I was home alone and my sons Bob the Builder toys went haywire. I happen to be a very anal, everything in its place, type person, so it was easy for me to recognize when something had been moved. I had a few spooky incidents here and there, but never really felt threatened by a spiritual entity. I agree, the living have given me many more scared s***less moments than the dead have.

Ellynn thanks for your input on this, and just so you know I was not in any way saying that it is always a troubled girl. I was merely saying that a big majority of them could be the young woman in the house. I just really thought this was an interesting theory that I never really heard of and thought I'd write about it.

Kay K Ouija Boards might be mass produced by Parker Brothers now, but they were introduced as far back as ancient times, it was used to communicate with the dead. The problem with it is you don't have any control over the spirits you are communicating with. They could be good or evil you just don't know what you are allowing into your home when you use the Ouija Board. I've never used one and never plan on using one. I have kno clue as to if they relly work, but I for one don't want to take my chances.

I believe there are spirits, ghosts, and some other entities out there.... We are not alone in this world. My sister, her husband (boy friend then) and her friend who shared one same house had a scary experience of 'something' disturbing their fish and stuff in the house. They called a priest to 'bless' the house and he said he sensed something and he was not sure he could hold the 'thing' away for a long time. They would return... and they did. One of them spoke to my sister's husband in a dream that they came to the house because we, human, destroyed their homes. He had this kind of experience before. My sister found out that people did burn some land not far from the house... coincidence, up to you guys to decide:)

About the Ouija board...My father is one of seven children. He tells the story of all seven of them sitting around the table playing with thier new game...ouija... They were having fun asking questions until my uncle said they should all hold hands and ask something. At that time the entire table rose off the floor and they all screamed. My grandma threw the game away. Needless to say they never let any of their children have that game. My uncle wont even talk about it He gets real quiet and leaves the room.

An Ouija board is just a medium. When I was a kid, my friend had one and we burned it to see it would cry (like the myth.) I did, but that's because the plastic piece got hot (so we explained). But, I've been haunted ever since and my house is haunted. Currently, my dog is sleeping in the shower and walking around the house with her ears back. BTW, you can make an Ouija board out of a glass and two candles (white unscented ones - lit.) Ask for the spirits to enter and put your fingers on the glass. If you ask it yes or no questions, it should work - at least it did for us when we were kids. I have enough "ghost" problems that I don't use it any more.

Sheri I try not to mess with those things. I have heard that also, that they are used as mediums so that they can attatch to the unsuspecting player. So I don't even touch them. Sounds like you should have stayed away too. Hopefully the spirits that are there in your home are not harmful.

I really want nothing to do with dead people, whether I knew them in life or not. I hope they are doing great wherever they went.
A Quija board - no desire to ever use it. I know that I am susceptible to certain vibrations and I have seen ghosts - so messin' with a Quija board sounds like a dangerous thing to me.

Poltergeists, well we had one in our house - doing the usual door slamming, locking doors, moving and dropping things - nothing bad - like a naughty child.
