My recent article on ebooks vs print generated a lot of comments. Some authors reported great success with ebooks and others not so much. Print or ebook, promotion is the big key to success. How about some of our successful authors list their favorite online promotion tool. I belong to a number of yahoo readers groups where I can post excerpts and links to my publisher and website. I also use author's den though I only recently started that. I'm not sure of myspace. Can I have opinions on the success of that. And who can tell us about facebook? Isn't that mainly for college students? And of course, there's our beloved gather so I think I'll use it and post my links right here and then wait for your comments.

And it really hasn't started yet.
A lot of people pooh-pooh the idea of MySpace, thinking that it's just for kids. But there are 100 million people on there. No matter what your book is about, a good portion of your potential readership is on MySpace -- looking for stuff to read!
I get at least one message a day from someone who's bought my book after discovering me on MySpace. In case you're interested, here's my profile.
Here are some articles I've written about this recently:
How authors can network on MySpace
Should I market my book on MySpace or a blog?
Are book readers moving from MySpace to Facebook?
Which social network is best for plugging my book?
I'm also a member of a bunch of different yahoo groups and am a member of author's den. I think the more you get your name out there, in any way, the better. Have you ever heard of Romance Galleria? That's an interesting place.
