Our lemonade stand for my grandchildren arrived
and they were so excited. They even got a juicer for
juicing the lemons.
All this was a result of my reading on gather that I could get a free lemonade stand. I filled out the form and sure enough it arrived and it is a lovely stand.
We added the streamers to attract attention. My girls as I call them ,agreed to send the proceeds to Alex's lemonade stand. And their profit was $41. Little Emileigh did however barter for cupcakes , face paintings, and a few trinkets in exchange for some lemonade from the other children who were participating in our local Libraries Summer Book Club Event. Notice their shirts; they are commited readers this summer and are having a blast visitng the library with grammy right after we go to the free movies on Tuesdays and Weds. that I also discovered here on gather. But that is side track info, getting back to their Lemonade stand, more info can be found here

There’s also more to the Burlington County library than meets the eye; Book Clubs, Events, Childrens Craft Fairs, and oh yeah books to borrow . There was also our old fashioned Sunkist lemonade stand. In a partnership with Sunkist, my grandaughters served up 8-ounce cups of fresh-squeezed lemonade at The Childrens Craft Fair this past Wednesday. And the lemonade kept flowing during the 3 hour event. Our Sunkist Lemonade stand was among the many festival booths set up in the library during the heavily promoted event. ANd our Sunkist lemonade helped make the dog days of summer more bearable for library patrons.
This whole experience for my grandaughters certainly was a rewarding way to 'squeeze' some fun into summer and giving back to their community.
