My Mother's Painting

This is the painting that my Mother gave us for Christmas last year.  It adorns one of the walls in our living room.  I hold it dear to my heart.  She has been taking painting classes at our local Senior Center.   The classes are held on Mondays and Fridays. 

She has many more paintings that she has finished.  One of which is of a young girl in a blue dress.  My Mother painted the face of the girl to resemble her granddaughter, Kelsey.  It is one of my favorites.

Thanks for sending me the link...it is just beautiful! The first thing I noticed was the colors, the icy blue...so refreshing. I wish I could simply draw a good stick man...she's really good and you have such an heirloom here to pass through your family.

Wow...I like the colors, and the artwork is beautiful. I think you need to relocate it to a better spot though, like on my living room wall...

Your mom is excellent at painting. That is a beautiful painting. I wish that I could paint and draw like that. It is incredible. I definitely would love to see more of her paintings. I too would hold paintings made by my parents to my heart and hang them on the walls in my home.

I just stopped by after reading a few of my gather email. I am so far behind that I dont think I will ever get caught up. I am just deleting alot of them without reading them. However, You are a treasured friend and so is your mother, I would never delete yours. :)

I cannot see the painting as it is not showing up for me. Gather has just done upgrades and My photos are not showing up either. My icon is even gone. I will try to come back later to see the painting. Thanks for posting it.
