Money Saving Tips
Spices: Pour them into a measuring spoon over wax paper or a pourable container. Put the spillage back in the container.
Apples: Unlike bananas, apples are better stored in the fridge. This keeps them cool, crisp and lasting longer.
Pasta: For every pound of pasta use 4 qts of water. This will allow the pasta to cook evenly.
Baked Potatoes: Don't wrap them in foil. Instead coat potatoes in a little cooking oil before baking. It will crisp the outside, leaving the inside yummy.
Brown Sugar: To instantly soften sugar, put it in the microwave along side a cup of tap water for 1 - 2 minutes on high.
Leftovers: Label them so you know when they have to be used by. Better yet freeze them in small containers for lunches or fast dinners later.
Fluffier Meringue: When making meringue us egg whites that are at room temp. They beat up bigger and better.
Add your own tips below and I'll comment twice for you.

You know points are always good!
Thank you.
(Note to self: You are here on this list) LOL
I go grocery shopping later in the evening to take advantage of discounts on bakery/deli items, which saves a little money. By the way, buying store/generic brands can save you b/t 10-40% then if you buy name brands.
I clip and use coupons as well as take advantage of store club cards that give you additional savings. I'm amazed that I have saved as much as $3-$7 using coupons on items that I buy.
Lastly, I have a Costco membership that pays for itself after a few visits and sometimes get real good deals buying items in bulk that helps save some money.
Thanks for the great tips!
I keep onions in the fridge and it seems to help keep the burning eyes syndrome ! Also if you don't want to do that, peel them under cold running water and catch them in a colander!
