Steph runs after Jeremy and wants to know what he is up to. He is off in a hurry and tells her to go and buy her silk panties. She tells him that there won't be any if they don't talk. He tells her he is too busy to talk to her and she insists on him to tell her who he is looking for. He tells her he needs to make a few calls and she says she will let him be as long as he promises to have dinner with her folks. Meanwhile, Max is overhearing their conversation. Steph is excited that she now gets to set up the date with her parents to meet Jeremy. Jeremy goes to make his calls and Max follows Stephanie.
Chelsea comes up to Nick as he has lost all his money playing table games. Chelsea tries to convince Nick that he will never win and will go broke trying when Nick points to a guy who seems to be winning big and has 2 girls by his side.
Steve is manning the bar at the pub when Kayla comes in to see him. Kayla tells Steve about visiting with Hope and seeing Sierra and how smiley she was and how cute she was. Trying to convince Steve having a baby again would be the best thing in the world. Steve just stares at her.
Shawn and Belle are on the beach and Shawn has just given the gorgeous diamond ring to Belle. She tells him it is incredible. He tells her he is waiting for an answer and Belle tells him that she thought they would talk about it and wait until they got settled. Shawn tells her they have done enough waiting, they need to get married and start their life together. They kiss and Shawn tells her he takes it as a yes as it just felt like one.
Jeremy finds Isla in the hotel room and asks her what she was doing down in the casino. He tells her that she has to stay out of site babe. Ilsa tells Jeremy that it won't happen again. He tells her to just do her job when Max comes up and asks him what her job is, he wants to know.
Belle tells Shawn that she has dreamed of this moment so many times. As Belle continues to talk, Shawn tells her that she is beginning to scare him. He tells her that if this the Right guy wrong time kind of thing that he can live with that as long as he knows that someday soon she will be his wife.
Steve tells Kayla that he knows she has been dropping hints about having a baby. He thought it was just a phase she was going through. Kayla says she knows it sounds a little crazy, but ever since he came back it just stirred up emotions and all these feelings. They discuss more about being lucky about getting a second chance and how great it would be to have a baby if only Steve would agree. Steve tells his sweetness that he would give her the world.. she tells him she does not want the world, she wants a baby. Steve tells her he has been trying with Stephanie and he is no good at being a parent. There are a lot of things he is good at and being a dad is not one of them.
Nick continues to watch as the older guy continues to win at playing blackjack. Chelsea tells her the guy knows what he is doing and may even end up poor tomorrow. Nick does not believe her and thinks he could have the same luck of the draw. Chelsea continues to try and get Nick to leave but he refuses saying she has no trust in him and does not want to be the person everyone thinks he is. He tells her she has the nack of being a wife without even being married. She takes it as a compliment. The guy who was winning is now leaving with his winning and taking his girls up for a bath. The 2 girls take his chips and cash them in for him and go off to meet him later in the room. The older man begins to talk to Nick and asks Nick if his old lady split. He tells Nick that they appear when you start winning and take off when you start losing, so he has been told as he does not lose that much. Nick tells the man that his woman does not want him gambling. The man introduces himself as Pete... his friends call him lucky lucifer. Nick introduces himself as Nick and his enemies call him Nick the geek. Pete tells him at least he has some enemies. Nick tells Pete that he is betting 25 a hand. Pete tells him that the geek needs to grow some hair. Nick looks at him in wonder.
Chelsea finds Stephanie and sits next to her at the bar. She tells Steph how Nick keeps losing and he won't quit. Steph asks her what she cares, she thought Chelsea was over him. Chelsea says yea, but he is still a really nice guy. Chelsea puts Jeremy down again and Stephanie gets offended telling her off, cuz the best the she has had is a geek like Nick. Chelsea smiles and turns away.
Jeremy tells Max that he is surprised to see Ilsa in Vegas is all. Max does not believe him and questions that Ilsa is suppose to stay out of site. Jeremy tells him that Steph is downstairs and wants to keep this all hushed and does not want to hurt her. Max tells J why then is it ok to hurt Ilsa? and asks what the connection is anyways. J tells Max that he has explained it already. Max tells J that it is soo coincidental that she just happens to be staying at the same hotel as Jeremy is... wow. J tells him that is Vegas.. go figure, but Max does not believe a word J is telling him. J tells Max that it is a free county and he asks what she is doing here to Jeremy. J tells him she is looking to party. When Max tells J that she ran away from him down in the casino, J tells him he hopes he does not have that affect on all the girls. J tells Ilsa to remember what he said as he walks away. Max stops him and tells him this is not over and they are just getting to the good part.
Nick questions Pete about growing some hair and seems a bit offended. Nick thinks Pete is telling him he is not a man, but he is and suggests stepping outside for a fight. Pete tells him he is not interested in fighting and that he never said Nick was not a man it is that he is just not playing. Nick asks what that is suppose to mean and Pete tells him to sit so he can tell him. He tells Nick there are forces in the Universe that are big and powerful out there and you cannot buck them, but you can influence them. If you play with a few measly chips, the force is not gonna notice. When Nick asks if he should throw them all in, Pete tells him if you are gonna gamble, you gotta gamble. Nick thanks him for the advice, but he is just gonna stick to what he is doing. Pete reminds him why not, that seems to be working. Pete tells him he will let him in on a little secret, but he must not tell anyone. Nick says ok, what is the big secret? Pete pulls out a good luck charm, it is an eyeball and it never fails him. Nick asks if it is a marble, Pete says no, it's his pappy's glass eye. Nick is dumbfounded.
Belle continues looking at the huge diamond that Shawn D. has bought her. Belle tells Shawn she loves her as he tells her that this would be great for Claire also. Belle reminds him that Claire is not a reason to get married. Shawn tells her he knows and he is sorry. Belle tells him that he has nothing to prove. He tells Belle he loves her and wants to be with her and wants to make it official. Belle responds 'for us and not Phillip?' Shawn tells Belle that he will not deny that he wants Phillip out of their lives, but this is not the reason he has asked her. Shawn asks Belle why the hesitation in giving him her answer about marrying him. She tells him that she wants to be sure. Shawn thinks that Belle is gonna tell him no. She tells him that he surprised her and this is a big big decision. Shawn tells her that they do not have to have an answer tonight. Shawn makes fun of her and then Belle reminds him that she has not officially said no yet. They kid around some more and end up on the beach in a very romantic kiss.
Jeremy tells Max that if he wanted to solve mysteries, to go into the family business and become a cop. Max insists on Jeremy telling him why he is running.. J again states that he does not know why Ilsa is here. J asks Ilsa to tell Max what she is doing in Vegas. Ilsa looks at Jeremy and tells Max that she comes many times, she know many people. Max asks what people and she tells him that it is none of his business. Ilsa leaves and as Max tries to follow her, J grabs him and with a finger pointed at him he tells Max that he is totally up front with Max about the merchandise, about Ilsa, and he has made him more money than he would see in that little garage. Max tells him it is not about the money, it is about how the money is made and something stinks. J tells him that if he does not like it, then why take the cash. J tells Max that if he is dirty then Max is just as bad. In fact, he is worse and Max gives him a questioning look.
Chelsea tells Steph how could she think that she was jealous of her? Jeremy is not even her type. Steph says the type that is exciting and likes to have fun? Steph asks Chelsea why she just can't be happy for her. Chelsea says that she can't because she is her friend and it sucks when she knows things that can hurt her. Steph tells Chelsea she has been on J's case since she met him and if she has something to say, just say it. Chelsea tells Steph that J is cheating on her. Stephanie is in awe.
Pete tells Nick stories of his father and how he got beat up and destroyed his eye. How they found the eye in a pawn shop and when his pappy put it in, he had good luck after that. His pappy said the eye saw things. Pete tells him that the eye has never let him down. He tells Nick to feel it, use it, and own it. He tells him to put it on the table and to let it face the cards and let us see if we can grow some hair. Nick agrees and places his bet.
Kayla tells Steve that he has to stop blaming himself for not being there to raise Stephanie. He tells her that they both paid a price and now she wants distance. Kayla tells Steve that things are gonna get better, they have to and does not leave any other option. Steve tells her that no kid should be a second chance to make things right. He asks if she is happy and she says yes. He says he is too and he does not need a baby to make things better than it already is.
Belle and Shawn have their moment on the beach. Shawn tells Belle that he feels like she is gonna dump him.. She tells him that she wants them to be open about things and he says they are., that is marriage 101 isn't it. Belle reminds him without honesty they have no chance. Shawn asks Belle what she means. She tells him that she knows he blew off the job interview in Cleveland. He says yeah he told her about that, and Belle reminds him that he said he got on the plane, but the truth is he didnt and knows for a fact.
Kayla tells Steve that a baby would make their lives richer. He reminds her that he has holes in his past that you can drive semi's through. He tells her that he has issues a shrink could retire off and that he could fly off the handle at any second. Kayla tells him that he is her loving and gentle man. He says he does not eve know how to raise it and Kayla tells him he can start by calling it a baby and not an IT. Kayla tells him that Love is the main ingredient in parenting.
Jeremy and Max are now arguing and Jeremy asks Max if he is calling him a liar. J says that he has leveled with Max and when he has messed up he has owned it. Max tells him that he spins his way out of it every time and that is what he does. Max tries to hand back the money to J and tells him to shove it. J tells him its Max's money. Max tells him he does not want it. J tells him that if he wants out, no hard feelings. It is cool if Max cannot handle Vegas, he can go back to Salem where it is nice and safe. This is the last cut from J as the partnership is over.
Nick seems to be having some good luck with the glass eye. He has onlookers and tons of tokens he is winning. Nick wonders if he should be his entire 22,000 he has won and go for broke.
Steph tells Chelsea that J would never cheat on her. Chelsea tells Steph that Max saw J at her dad's house with a girl and J told Max it was a one night stand. Steph calls them liars and Chelsea tells her they have no reason to lie to her. Steph does not believe them and tells Chelsea that she hates them both. Chelsea tells her that she is trying to be a true friend and that J is just trying to use her. Steph will not believe any of this. Chelsea tells her that Max actually told her to tell her sooner, but she couldn't. Steph asks why not and Chelsea tells her she knew how upset she would be like she was upset about when she found out about Nick and her mom. Steph tells her this is different because it is not true. Chelsea tells her whatever it is her life. Steph asked Chelsea that if it happened which it didn't, what would she do? She tells her that after thinking of a million different ways to get back at him, she would get up in his face and tell him that he could never mess with her again. Chelsea leaves Steph there wondering if it all was really true or not.
Nick discusses with Pete if he should go all or nothing and that he wants to do a once in a lifetime kind of thing for Chelsea. Pete tells him that if he is gonna do it, now is the time as the eye is only good for maybe another hand. Nick tells the dealer he is betting it all and the dealer tells him that there is a thousand dollar limit at that table. Pete asks her to bend the rules a bit for the lucky guy. Nick is dealt a 16 and asks Pete for advice. Pete moves the eye around and then tells Nick the next card would make Nick's hand a 20. Nick asked him how he knew and Pete told him that he counts the cards, but not to tell anyone as he would be in a lot of trouble.
Max tells J that he has made more than the money he put down so he is fine to walk. J tells him it is his choice but he is making a big mistake and they have some outstanding business. He let him take a look at all that designer fake merchandise just like he wanted to. Max tells him he will keep his mouth shut although J does not believe him. Max tells him he can keep it shut that is as long as he is not running more than designer knock offs, because then he will drop the dime on him. Jeremy takes the money Max left behind and gets very angry.
Kayla is looking at the pictures of Hope's baby when Steve comes back to the bar and asks if she is still there and he might have to cut her off from drinking. She waves the photos of the baby in front of him and continues to ask Steve about having one of their own. Kayla tells him that there are more needy children in the world and Steve tells her yes there is, but just not the Johnson home. Kayla is very surprised at what he has said. He tells her to quit looking at him with those eyes and look that she uses to get him to do whatever it is she wants him to do. She continues talking about adopting a child and how loved it would be. He continues to tell her that having a kid is not for him. He is too old for school conferences and all that goes with kids.
Shawn asks Belle who told her about the job interview. After a glance from Belle he gets up and says Phillip of course. He asked her why she did not just come out and ask her about it. She tells him that she wishes he would have told it himself. He tells Belle that he wants to earn the things they get and not have them handed down by Phillip. Belle tells him it is not about him not taking the job, but wants to know that if he did not go there, where did he go? Shawn flashes back to that day. He remembers changing the plane ticket from Cleveland to Indianapolis. He tells Belle that he drove around and did not do anything.
Nick tells the dealer to hit him and make it hurt. He now has 20 and stays. Nick has won as dealer must stay at 19. He has doubled his money and he is overjoyed. Nick tells Pete it was all his eyeball and Pete tells him it is because the eyeball knows how to play blackjack. Nick says he is done and going to go cash it all in when Pete reminds him to tip the dealer.
Chelsea returns to Steph and asks if she still hates her. Steph says she is thinking about it when J comes up and gives her a kiss on the cheek and asks how his 2 favorite hostesses are. Steph asks where he has been. He says he has been making a few calls and asks if they want to get into the hottub. Chelsea asks where Nick went to. Steph tell her she does not know and J tells her to put a leash on him as it is easier to keep tabs that way. Chelsea tells him that maybe they should put one on him too and Steph agree with her. He laughs and tells them no ganging up on him. Chelsea leaves and J tells Steph that he does not get that girl. Steph is not happy and asks what isthere not to get. J tells her that she is hot, but not like her. Why does she get all tied in knots over that loser. Steph asks him why Nick is a loser, is it because he does not know how to fly a plane or maybe his not the life of the party? J asks Steph if she is defending the geek and she gets offensive and tell him that he is not that bad. J asks what is with her and she says nothing. J says they should go upstairs and he will give her one of his famous back rubs. Step is still not pleased as that always leads to sex. J says he likes to call it the grand finale. Steph tells him she is not in the mood.
Chelsea finds nick counting his money. He tells her they are rich and they are in Vegas.. he wants them to get married. Chelsea is dazed and just looks at Nick.
Pete tells the dealer to put what the Skinny guy won on his tab and thanks for helping him out. The dealer asked why he did that for a complete stranger. He looks over at Nick and Chelsea and tells her that he did it for love, he is a romantic at heart he guesses. Pete sees the cleaning guy and pulls out the glass eye and asks if he is missing anything. The janitor says he has been looking all over for it and where did he find it. Pete tells him he found it under the table and that he should keep a better eye on his eye. He tells him he out to as it is a lucky eye.
Max finds the guys room with whom he exchanged fist with earlier and asked about Ilsa and how to find her. The guy tells her to buzz off. Max grabs him and repeats himself. The guy asks if Max is her pimp and Max says what. The guy tells him she is a pro that goes by the name of Candy Cane and dames like her do not come cheap. Max tells him he wants her number and wants to know how to find her NOW.
Steve tells Kayla that she had years to adopt a child and could have done it without her. She tells him that she did not want to do it without him. They continue to discuss why and why they shouldn't adopt a baby. Steve tells her that she has him thinking about it, but they do not make and official decisions before talking it through. Kayla agrees as Steve tells her they need to leave time for other things
Belle is still questioning Shawn about his whereabouts the night he was suppose to be in Cleveland. They apologize to each other about all this and then Belle proposed to Shawn. He says yes and they kiss.
On the Next Days: Chelsea tells Nick NO and Nick asks it is a no for not at all, or is this some problem she has with him. Ej tells Marlena that he deeply cares for Samantha. Marlena tells Ej to get ahold of that so called father of his and tell him to find Sammy and get her back here. Tony tells Lucas, Marlena and Ej that they are not going to see Sammy anytime soon. The Doc and Stefano wish it could be different but let's make this happen fast as you see Sammy laying on a bed unconscious.
