Things that make you smile

I saw a little girl playing in her yard today in the rain. It brought a smile to my face and reminded me of when I was little and mom would let me play in the rain if it were a warm rain. I never did understand this.

What are some things that make you smile?

Debra, sunlight, or moonlight on water. A cat taking a dust bath. A baby or young child sleeping, with an angelic smile on their face.

A baby's belly laugh, evening grosbeaks feeding their young, a beautiful sunny day when the air is warm and the breeze is cool - you just want to hug the day and hold onto it forever... many more reasons come to mind. Hummingbirds. I have a feeder a few feet away. I can recognize each one by the individual sound their wings make.

Short skirts and pumps are pretty cheerful too. Lots of eyeliner makes me smile. I'm easy that way.

My dog, my kids, a pair of squirrels chasing round a tree, a bluebird and a squirrel in a shouting match, my dog barking at a racoon, a friend's cat with a very loud miaow, an enexpected twist in a good story, the final scenes in Harry Potter, finding someone likes something I've written, daydreams, thinking about smiling, ... and many more.

Most things make me smile, well except for cameras:)
When I was a kid, and it rained that warm summer rain, usually during a summer electrical storm, my mother always tried in vain to prevent me form putting on a swimsuit and go out running in it. For some reason, I found it extremepy pleasant and exciting. It scared the hell out of her.
There would be too long a list to name what made me smile, but amusing Missouri "KNATs" (or was that annoying?) usually do.

my parents, my husband, my cats and kitten, my nieces and nephew, babies, loving and being loved, friends, getting a full body massage, getting a manicure and pedicure, going to mass on sundays, taking a hot bubble bath, having multiple orgasms, music in it many forms, my computer, my books, my home, my life, my health, the ability to wake up every morning alive, the ability to see the sun rise, the ability to be FREE...etc.

There are so many things. If I had to pick I would say listening to my kids sing. There is something rib tickeling about my 4 year old daughter singing " doe me arey got go mr a bop o" in referance to Mr Roboto. And the facts that they learned colors by knowing every word to Karma Chameleon.
