The health benefits are the best reason that I can think of for changing to this type of eating plan. Once you make the change in your eating habits, it doesn't take long before you start noticing that you feel better. Something enjoyable about eating this way is that you naturally stop eating when you are full. You really feel pleasantly full, yet start loosing weight. What a great side affect!
A brief explanation for this weight loss is that these healthy food choices stimulate your body to burn fat. In turn, this process gives you more energy and stamina, plus a slow weight loss. All of this while still maintaining the body's blood sugar levels and supplying our brain with a regular supply of glucose for fuel. This in turn keeps us from having food cravings because our glucose levels stay balanced, when they are unbalanced we start experiencing cravings, especially for sugar.
Something I never realized was that if more people were to eat raw and stop eating animals, the planet would benefit also. According to Dr. Gabriel Cousens, " From an ecological point of view, grain consumption is significantly better than consuming livestock, but when compared to fruit orchards and vegetable growth we see that almost 250% more people can be fed with an acre of orchard than with an acre of grain..." Is there any good reason to eat raw?

However we hear some tidbits like it is not easily digestible and uncooked means salmonella in them affecting us, and certain greens are indigestible unlike in animals etc.Whatever be the raw stuff should be handled carefully I mean prepared well, cleaned under running water for a while. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
