Kelly's Heroes is, by far, my favorite.
Remember the A-Team or G.I. Joes?
Heh. We still catch the A-Team on tvland. Hubby is a fan.
Know any famous Veterans?
Not personally. Know of John McCain and others, of course.
My favorite war books are "The Killer Angels" and "Day of Infamy".
I do remember Hogans Heroes, The A-Team (though I didn't watch it!) and GI Joes (never had one).
Not sure if I have a war hero.

Not a big fan of war movies...but I've watched some just cause hubby watches them. So I'll say Forrest Gump. I don't really consider it a war movie but there was a scene when he goes to war.
What are some of your favorite war books? I don't read war books...sorry
Who are your war heroes? ??
Remember the A-Team or G.I. Joes? Yes, I can remember watching A-Team when I was young...also my brother absolutely LOVED G.I. Joes...I guess because he was the only boy living with a house of girls who played with barbies.
What is your favorite war song?I can remember singing Anchor's Away when younger.. that still is one of those songs that has a catchy tune that stays in my head. We sing Battle Hymn of the Republic in church which is always a great song.

I like that old series Hogan's Heroes. Not realistic so it's just my style. It's funny too which is also just my style. I do like the Rambo movies, the one in Afganistan being my favorite of the three. I like the A-Team too and catch that once in a while in TV Land.
I don't really read war books. They are usually much much too sad and realistic. Give me something funny to read any day! Or a nice mystery with humor. Or some sci fi or fantasy with humor and horses. Or anything with horses really.
Mostly my dad I guess. Since he was gone a great deal of my growing up years on a battleship fighting for truth, justice and the American way. Or was that Superman?
Love 'em both. I had Barbies when I was a kid and sometimes Barbie "dated" my brother's G.I. Joe's. They had a lot of fun!
sorry no war books
LOVED A- TEAM, and HOGANS HEROES.
I got a hold of a GI JOE once, he was way cooler than Ken as a date for Barbie. LOL
My favorite war hero would be my husband ( Army - Gulf war vet.) tied with my dad(Navy - WWII vet).
Band Of Brothers
Saving Private Ryan
Harrison's Flowers
Kelly's Heroes
Black Hawk Down
As a rule, I do not watch war movies. However, my favorite that approaches this genre would be "Hunt for Red October".
