Birthday Breakfast

This is in the way of both a review, and also an accounting of my birthday breakfast.

I decided to take myself out for breakfast this morning, after getting my haircut.  I went to the relatively new IHOP in Coralville,IA .  I happen to love the stuffed French Toast there.  I had the sweetest waitress who was hobbling around with an ankle injury.  I told her I was having my birthday breakfast and wanted my favorite thing on their menu, the Stuffed French Toast with Fluffy cream cheese filling , blueberry topping, and whipped cream.  The coffee came right away and not long after she sat my plate in front of me with two large pieces of the stuffed Fr. toast.  There was abundunt filling and a lot of blueberry topping.  I thought I would have quite a hard time eating it all.  When I was almost done she stopped to see if I was ready for my birthday treat, so I said sure.  Here comes the entire wait staff to sing the birthday song to me, give me individual greetings and deliver a chocolate sundae.  I managed to eat that too.  When I went to  pay my bill, the cashier also wished me a Happy Birthday.

This excellent service and good food will keep me going back to the IHOP on Highway 6 in Coralville IA.  Service was good, food was good and the place is very easy to get to. On week-ends I must warn you that it is very crowded.  I usually try to go during the week.  Seniors can order from the senior menu with slightly smaller portions or from the regular menu and ask for the 10% senior discount to those 55 and older.  I asked for the discount.
