The park at Frederiksborg Castle in Hilleroed, Denmark consists of two parks known as the Landscape Garden and the the Baroque Garden. The two gardens are complete contrasts as the Baroque garden is placed on a terrace system, and it is very symmetrical with geometrical flower gardens and human shaped bushes and trees. The landscape garden on the other hand has freely grown forest areas, large aeas with grass, lakes, creeks and small walking roads that twists and turns throughout the park.

In the baroque era gardners often worked with special view lines throughout the parks, which can be seen at the above photo.
The Baroque Garden was created in the 1720s by Frederik the fourth of Denmark, and it demonstrated how the ideal in the 1700 was that man had control over nature.

The monogram garden was founded by Frederik the 4th, and the garden includes monograms of the Danish royal regents since then:
Frederik the 4th,
Frederik the 5t,
Christian the 6th &
Margethe the 2nd, who is the Danish queen.

The islands and peninsulas in the Bath Castle lake has been used as stages for summer concerts and theatrical plays for years.
