So my new bestest BFF I miss soooooooo much! Her name is Danielle and her word is BUPPKISS!
So every year at camp we get these T-Shirts!! That have our theme and a main Bible Verse on it!!
Well this years Theme Was: Faith Quest!!and on the the back of the shirt this is what it says:
Two Thousand Years ago in a land far, far away,
A man was born to save the souls of
All men. Faced with the task of saving all
Mankind from sin, He offered himself a sacrifice.
He willingly died and conquered sin and death.
We follow His journey in a quest
For Faith....
And the main verse was: So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.-Romans 10:17!!!
And our T-Shirts this year were black! And of course every year we have sharpie markers and we get people to sign them! Well with a silver sharpie marker I walked around camp and asked people to sign my shirt!! And when I asked Danielle she signed her fave (made-up) word in BIG BOLD letters all over my back BUPPKISS!!! :)
And then my 2nd fave signature is on the front where Kristen D. Signed Love you Kristen :) (mom #2)!! :) Now that one I love!!
And all over my shirt is just random signatures from friends and people met at church!! :)
I never want to wash this shirt...b/c I dont want the sharpie marks to come off!! :)

Just be glad you don't actually have goat poop on your wonderful shirt Leslie! :-)
Thanks Tina and Angela :)
O yeah Janet we had an AWESOME time!
lol Patrice I just started hearing that word!! :)
The saying on your shirt was inspiring to me.
And the shirt signing must have been a blast!
I remember we would get small autograph
books and get all our friends to write in it!
Awesome girl you are! Love Ya' Grams
And I love the shirt signing!
Yes I agree the writing on the shirt was inspiring to me also :)
One should be cautious when adopting unfamiliar words, especially words from a foreign dialect such as say ... Yiddish.
This reminds me of the General Motors marketing fiasco when they attempted to sell their small economy car the Nova in Mexico. Sales were extremely slow and GM eventually had to rename and remarket the model ... in Spanish Nova sounds like the phrase no va ... which means NO GO!
As others have pointed out up above, your word buppkiss is actually bupkes and is derived from the Eastern European Yiddish word - kozebupkes - meaning goat droppings ... you know ... you may want to wash that shirt after all!!! (-;
