Bush Outlaws All War Protest In United States

In one of his most chilling moves to date against his own citizens, the American War Leader has issued a sweeping order this week outlawing all forms of protest against the Iraq war.
President Bush enacted into US law an вÐ?Â?Executive OrderвÐ?™ on July 17th titled "Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq", and which says:
According to Russian legal experts, the greatest concern to the American people are the underlying provisions of this new law, and which, they state, are written вÐ?Â?so broadlyвÐ?™ as to outlaw all forms of protest against the war. These provisions state:
To the subsection of this new US law, according to these legal experts, that says "...the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit...", the insertion of the word вÐ?Â?servicesвÐ?™ has broad, and catastrophic, consequences for the American people in that any act deemed by their government to be against the Iraqi war is, in fact, supporting the вÐ?Â?enemyвÐ?™ and therefore threatens the вÐ?Â?stabilization of IraqвÐ?™.
In an even greater affront to the American people are the provisions of a law called The Patriot Act, and that should they run afoul of this new law they are forbidden to allow anyone to know about it, and as we can read as reported by the Seattle Times News Service:
It is interesting to note, too, that this is not the first time that the United States has unleashed the brutal power of their government against its citizens to further their war aims and stifle domestic dissent, as during the European conflict of World War I they enacted a law called The Sedition Act of 1918 and which "...forbade Americans to use "disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language" about the United States government, flag, or armed forces during war."
It is curious to note that after the enactment of this new law there has been no protest by any of the other political leaders in the United States, with the exception of the only Muslim member of the United States Congress, Minnesota Democrat Keith Ellison, and who compared President Bush to the Nazi War Leader Adolph Hitler by stating the attacks upon the World Trade Center could be likened to the burning of the Reichstag.
Today, as the United States faces an imminent economic collapse, while at the same time its war bill has reached the staggering amount of $648 billion, one of the last freedoms the American people have had to protest their leaders actions against them, and other peoples in the World, has now been taken away from them, the freedom to speak and write in opposition to what is being done to them.
"If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.", said the great British writer George Orwell, but, and sadly, liberty has been lost to the once free people of the United States who are no longer allowed to tell their leaders, or each other, what they donвÐ?™t want to hear.
With this being so, the American people should, likewise, contemplate their вÐ?Â?newвÐ?™ future, and as, also, stated best by George Orwell, "If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever."

From the article: "the insertion of the word "services" has broad, and catastrophic, consequences for the American people in that any act deemed by their government to be against the Iraqi war is, in fact, supporting the "enemy" and therefore threatens the "stabilization of Iraq".
Had insanity like this been in place in the '60s, Jane Fonda would still be in prison.
My opinion about the article is that the title was used to gain attention and cause hysteria. The length in itself makes people not want to read it completely. For example had this person actually summed up what the President said that everyone would have understood. Not everyone knows the law and political jargan. I think the title was there to gain attention.
Halliburton has already been contracted to resurrect the internment camps where the U.S. imprisoned Japanese/Americans during the Second World War. Why?
It will be a place where those of us who do not agree with the actions of the current government will be placed, without council, without trial (Habeas Corpus is gone, remember?), without hope.
Many years ago I read an adventure novel where a President went insane and tried to "push the button". Like all novels, it ended in having him stopped. Today, there doesn't appear to be anyone interested in stopping the Bush/Cheney/Rove cabal.
The United States are no longer united. I fully expect "Krasny Oktyabr", "Red October", soon...unless everyone is so asleep they actually believe the pablum they are being fed.

So in effect this is just BS.
The page is not directed at US citizens as such, but citizens and illeagls that are working with groups outside the US to cause violance and trouble with the US and the efforts to rebuild Iraq.

People who don't follow the whitehouse.gove website (like our "elected" representatives) haven't a clue what kind of unconsitutional crap is being rammed into law without our knowledge . Knowledge is power. This administration has operated in secret for seven years.
With documented sources to the White House, Sheryl, these are proven not to be lies. This man is certifiably insane, but 21% of the population thinks that he still walks on water. The RNC has stated that it will cut off funding to any Representative or Senator who disagrees with the current administration.
It is now (as of yesterday) illegal to disagree with the current administration. I want to watch (from a foreign country) when he attempts to arrest Congresspeople who disagree with him. It will come to this. If you don't believe it, have another glass of Cool Aid.
So far, for seven years, we have not been told the truth by this entire administration. For the past couple of years, we are at least receiving small tidbits of truth from the "mainstream media". Not much, but with the Internet (and the law requireing that feces for gray matter" publish all executive orders, we receive a small amount.
I won't fight innuendo with innuendo, because I'm not Republican. I read the entire order, have you? I supplied the link and also links to the interpretation.
If you have been awake for the past 6 years, you will notice that the administration interpretation of ANYTHING is what they want it to be at any given moment.
For example, it is proven FACT (read that FACT); Saddam Hussein had zero to do with Al-Qaida, he may not have been a nice guy to his own people, but was never a threat to the United States; there were No WMD in the country of Iraq since 1992; the Russians lost Afghanistan for the same reason we have (and we have)...those people want to be left alone.
To be hinest, this article tells me there must be some facts they have recieved that has caused the President to become very concerned about something happening.
Something is up, that is true, but you people are not even a concern to him. It sounds like som, ething more legit is up, than a bunch of liberal fearmongers.
"Executive Order: Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq "
VP Cheney has already called anyone who disagrees, a "terrorist". The overly broad language of this reinforces their ability to declare anyone an "enemy combatant" (under the MCA). This is only step one in a series to be completed before the end of this year.
As you can see from the replies, there are enough who don't see the pattern of erosion of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, that these principles will be rescinded by "executive order" and there will be a group that agrees.
I was UDT/SEAL during Vietnam (Democrat administration). I wouild rather trust a coiled rattlesnake than my government.
The parallels are too close, as far as I'm concerned. We are in a position of lose/lose. Unfortunately, the current administration is much stupider than even Johnson's, and has negated large sections of our Constitution to achieve their ends.
It is all black or white to them, you are either with them or against them ... common ground is next to evil, their glass is half full and yours is half empty.
All of these steps seem to be positioning the administration to be ready for the "big announcement" in 2008...
That there will BE no Presidential "election" because we are "at war" (with an extremely nebulous, faceless, nameless enemy, i.e., "terrorism") and that Bush will (at least attempt to) invoke the same powers that Roosevelt did in WWII that put-off those elections until the "war" was "over"...
This time, however, it will not be a matter of bringing the Nationalist Socialists to their knees by just marching into Berlin -- because, in truth, there is no government, nation or even a clear-cut "group" that now qualifies as "the enemy".
Where would we march to, even if we could?
And, if "winning" against every single terrorist in the world that IS -- or ever WILL be -- is the "trigger" that will allow Presidential elections to be held once more after that announcement is made and those powers invoked, we might as well kiss 'em all goodbye right now...
Because there's always BEEN "terrorists" in the world and there will always BE "terrorists" in the world... Heck, 3rd graders now qualify for that label if they threaten to beat another kid up after school...
I pray daily for a miracle to save us from the situation that I see becoming more and more plausible each day: MANY "boots stamping" MANY "faces" and, maybe not "forever", but even a little "face stomping" goes a real long way...
