Today I'd like to share some boats I saw at Murrells Inlet while I was vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC. My husband and I often think about getting a little boat when we retire and just tour the back bays and calm waters of some places we have been. Most of these are fishing boats for the wealthy and are just amazing to see. One had satellite TV and phone service, and the galley was amazing. Here are a few that made us drool.

This was one of the biggest fishing boats I've ever seen.

A big difference in size but I bet they are both great to go out fishing on.

We could see inside this one, the black square is actually a window. It looks so nice.

This great boat had Satellite TV and phone service. It was just gorgeous.

Mast.
A view from the back.
I couldn't get far enough away to capture the boat and the tall mast in one photo, so I took the pictures separately. It was quite impressive.
So, all of these beauties are out of our price range! We started looking over some of the smaller ones which are also probably out of our range, but looked great to us.

This is a nice little boat for a nice relaxing day out to sea.

Now this little thing can't cost that much can it?
It's HOW MUCH?

OK, well, maybe this one then?

Or this one is really cute.

Fine then, maybe a motor boat will be better than no boat at all. They look happy with it.
Or a canoe? One can dream can't they?

Dave, I'd have to agree with you on getting a quiet boat, but at our age we need a little help with moving it around in the water.
A Boat is an expensive "toy" but we'd love to explore the quiet waters. We will probably stick to renting a boat every now and then.
Where would we be without dreams?
:)
thanks for sharing, I enjoyed seeing the boats and the water!
Those BIG boats are really hard to move and store in the winter. If you want to try a lake or inland river, you can't just hook up to the truck and move them. When it comes to boats, bigger is not always better.
Elsie, your cabin cruiser sounds like a fun boat and I bet you all had a great time.
Amanda - I hope you go. We love the SC beaches, so much we are moving there the end of this year. Thanks
Jimmy - this is one thing we have discussed and I think a nice small boat with a little canopy on top or just renting is more desirable at this time, but when you see these boats you just can't help wishing one was yours. A lot of these boats stay at Murrells Inlet all year. Thanks
Keep on dreamin' girl, you never know what you might eventually get! :-)
Pattimari
hope you guys achieve your dreams!......cheers,gayle
*thx for all coms you have left for me over the months....am trying to get back in touch with those who have taken the time to show appreciation for my photos
In an earlier lifetime my former father-in-law kept a cabin cruiser on Chesapeke Bay, and I always enjoyed both going out on the boat and also seeing all the other craft. It's definitely not a cheap hobby!
BTW, thx for looking at my photos and for all your nice comments :-)
And you seem so much attracted by those fishing boats.
Hope you get one without paying any money, perhaps a gift.
Thanks for comments.
