I want to be a stay at home MOM, need a business idea

This is my two cents. Any home based business that is worthy of having an office space in a legitimate office setting that can also be done at home can make you a viable income. Anything else needs to be thoroughly researched to see if you are wasting your time. What did you do before you had children? Can any of your skills be used to earn a living while at home?

Never pay anyone to make money from home. If someone is selling a business idea that they tell you is a money maker, if it were so, nine times out of ten, then they would be doing it themselves instead of selling it.

Stay away from all MLM stuff. Just my opinion.

I thought about baking wedding cakes, freelance makeup artist, maybe even opening up a child day care center in my home.

Mariel figure out what your dreams and passions are. From that, you can create a business, you will enjoy and be successful in. I'm doing what I love. I don't work a day in my life but it's a nice income. It's not work when you truly enjoy what you're doing.

If you have an accounting degree then do taxes for people. Lots of people do that from home. You're all set!

I'm a freelance writer and editor so I'm able to work from home. If you're not interested in that, check out this work at home company: www.teamdoubleclick.com. I know several people who worked as virtual assistants through them and they really love it. Pay is pretty good too. I've done an assignment with them as a transcriptionist so if you can type really well then you may want to try that out with them.

Maybe you could focus on your career and you husband could be a stay at home dad?

MLM is the way to go but you need to do a lot of work!

Good luck - whatever business idea you chose ensure that it has the ability to create a passive and residual income stream. Like for example a bubble gum machine, or an ATM. I work with alot of stay at home moms doing Internet Marketing but it's not for everyone.

hi... i know something..and they offer a free registration to become a member. if you are a sales person and have the talent of it. this is a good business for you. theres no harm in trying. actually i joined just today.. at first i was very hesitant coz i dont quite believe those stuffs. i was also like you looking for a work which i could only stay at home but it seems that i dont believe those offers from the company. some company want to get money from you before you could start it. yuo have to pay before they could give you the idea to start. and i hate it coz i really dont want to pay for anything just to start it.. i told myself that il only do online business thing if i have a friend who knows about it that i could really trust. and fortunately i have a friend whom i got this idea.. she told me about it .. at first i was kinda not trusting the idea of it. coz she told me that my registration is for free if i wanted to be a member and do business. but then later on she explained to me that while i already have my membership on. i have to purchase one of the company's products for me to try and i need to purchased 2 to 3 products.. and in the deep of my mind.. "what the heck!" i thought its free then why do i need to purchase something? hmnn.. i dont want to do it!! this is bulshit!!" so i was just agreeing to my friend everything she explained. she told me that every customer i have i will going to have a commision and in every member in my account. which is called my downline. i will have comision in each one of them. so the bank will going to send me some checks every time my member got member of her own. so the more member she'll going to get, the more money on her bank. it will be the same process too to your member.. and blah blah blah. " i told my friend that i will think about it. though ive already seen the checks that she got from the company and she really made a lot of money. yet im not sure about joining it. coz im still not trusting if the product is really worth every penny you spend for it. and i dont want to be embarrased to those people that il be selling to. so when she told me that its a herbal food supplement something. i trusted herbal. coz i once read a book about herbal medicines. so i said to myself okay the food supplement will do good for my customers in the future if i joined to business agenda. so when i ended our conversation. during at night i was really thinking about it.. i pray to guide me with my thoughts if its right to do it or not.. and suddenly i thought " why not try? theres no harm on trying . at least i tried. and if it doenst work then its alright coz i can also used the food suplement that i bought from them. so we are just even". and i thought that its also good for an extra income . if you working full time job you can have a extra income without doing anything except using your mouth and talking to someone who is interested into it. but i thought again that i dont have talent of convincing people and never did i imagine that i can do it. coz my attitude is that. if someone doesnt want it. then i dont try to convince them and maybe thats not good for business coz if you are selling something you really need to get a client even if they say no but you have to get them or sometimes in order to convinced them .. you talk exaggerated stuff about it. and i hate it... well for im really concerned about it coz i also considered myself as a customer. if i dont want something then i dont want them to be so needy that sometimes they are already in my nerves. i hate it and i dont want to do it just for money only. well you can have money out selling it and getting members but im most concerned of the product. and also i thought that if i wont try it then how can i know that i can do it? and how can i know that its really worth trying or not.. i also read a book that says that if you want to succeed in your life. you really have to work hard of it and you have to be confident that you can do it and it will work even if you failed million times. according to that book. those millionares or well off they didnt pick up the money anywhere. they worked hard for it. they also faced lot of failures and rejection but they didnt give up thats why some of them are a millionare." so yea after thinking about that. i finally said yes to the business that im going to deal. il try it for a month and if it doenst work its fine. but i told my friend that whoever are interested in my line.. i will send them a dvd and a CD for free and its up to them if they want it or not so that they will also gonna have idea about it.
