Good morning all. After severe storms in my area all night, I am back online this morning. We had Quite the lightening storm and rain, but were spared the high winds that did damage in so many areas. Our tornado siren went off a little after 7 PM, sending us to our "safe Place". We were more or less confined there til 8 PM. My daughter who lives near Cedar Rapids had after work appts in Iowa City and came to my place rather than try to drive home. I was glad of that as she would have been heading into the storms. She stayed overnight with me and though the thunder boomers kept us both awake, we were safe and dry.
Just a few days ago my area was in drought conditions and now we have had between 6-7 " of rain.
Praise God for the moisture and for sparing us damage.
I hope you stop in to visit for awhile.

Well, at least the garden won't need watered today.
I'm driving two of the 'older' ladies today which is so
much fun. One is going to a doctor's appointment an
while she is there the other lady and I go to the village
and shop the dollar store and good will store. After the
doctor's is done that lady takes us out for lunch. I have

My day is shaping up well. I posted a little political writing. Donna and I both slept through the storms that came through our area. We didn't get hit very hard right here, but the local news was full of damage stories from over Columbus, OH.
