Famished for morsels of focus
I feast on forgetfulness
Simple pleasures swallowed
By a glutton for grandiosity
I surfed the slopes of Saturn
Swung on a sliver of moon
Circled time in orbit
Simmered with the sun
Next time….
I’ll remember to write my name in the sky

Very well done, Amanda. An exceptional poem, especially when placed in a sequence (along with the anterior piece) that shows the poet/speaker grappling with her disease and the delusions that spring from it.
