Pics of My Dying Waterlily leaves

This article is in reference to another one I wrote a few days back. That one is called, Water Lily Problems , (don't know if the link will work, I'm still having problems trying to figure that out). Anyway, I thought if I tried to post some picture of what was going on with my water lilies, it wouls be easier to identify.Â I got one answer that I believe is probably the problem, which is that they have aphids,Â but here's some pictures anyway...

I cut this leaf off and put it down on a hite towel, so you can see what's going on with it. fileId:3096224744277534;size:inter;

First they get the little holes, as shown in the first pic, and then they turn yellow. After they turn yellow, they start turning brown, and then slowly 'disinegrate!'

What I meen by disinegrate is that they just seem to become sort of see through after they turn brown, and the slowly they are just gone!! Anyhow, what's everyones diagnosis now that there are some photos to see??

Sorry I know nothing about water lillies. I wish I could help you but you will have to get an answer from someone else. Good luck to you. I sure do hope your water lillies dont die.

I did not see any bugs...I took the plant out of the pond, cut off the bad leaves, and then hosed off the remaining leaves...but saw nothing. I did see a snail on the cattail which is next to the waterlily. Thanks for all your help ary and Jan!! i am going to check out your link too! Hopefully I can get this under control, I would hate to lose the plant!!

One more thing, it was in that coco basket when I boughtit, so I replanted it today,since I had it out of the water. I put it in a bigger pot with a good soil for water gardening.

i would say snails would eat waterlillies, they are plant eaters, in our aquarium i was always replaceing the water plants our apple snail love to munch on them
