Cows and Beaches Don't Mix

The other day, we went out to Guadalupe Beach in California and there were cows by the beach!  This is a ridiculous combination of landscape and animal, it just hurts the brain thinking about it.  Cows hanging out by beaches is almost as wrong as penguins in the jungle.

 Note to travelers: IF YOU SEE A PENGUIN IN THE JUNGLE...TURN BACK!  YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR OUT OF THE NORM.

 It's okay for cows to be in pastures but those fields should not be allowed near sand.

maybe they wanted to cool down. you could do a photo essay and post it to photography for all. sounds like you have some great experiences!

I wonder if there is more to this story. Have you researched why there are cows there? I'd love to know why they are there since it does seem like an unusual place to find cows.

The mountain landscape butts up to the beach dunes. There is a river that cows like to hang out around but that river flows down to the beach. Very odd. The pasture allows them to follow the river right up to the snowy plover territory.

The day I read this, the local news showed a cattle drive right up Huntington Beach! I wish I'd been there to take photos of that! Get along little doggies...the surf is up.

I have seen cows on a beach before in Kerala, India. In India you can see cows almost everywhere...no part of the land is denied to the cows!

that's cute..... the most out of place cow I've seen is one that was standing on the wrong side of its fence along a busy highway!

trout fishing, skydiving and bungee jumping in the same place? Well that is what this guy says in this piece (http ://100percentpure.wordpress. com/). New Zealand sounds like the place to be. I'm getting to know all about this place on www.newzealand.com. I don't think that one trip is enough to cover everything.

HAHA! That's hilarious.... even if there are cows on the beach, California beaches are still the best beach vacations in the United States.
